With my husband!!!! :p

He flies in around noontime tomorrow and I'll be picking him up shortly after that. We had hoped to be able to stay on base with him while he demobs but b/c there's currently a HUGE battalion mobilizing there just isn't room..so I'm going down by myself tomorrow so we can have some alone time (much needed let me tell you lol) and then he will hopefully be able to come home for the weekend and then be home for good by the 29th! I'm sure I'll be hauling the kids down before then too..my sis lives in the same town so we can always stay with her.

It still hasn't hit me that it's really finally over.

Well he wasn't really in danger this time..this deployment was a rotation to Washington DC...it was a LONG deployment, but not scary like when he was in Afghanistan.
 
That is FANTASTIC news!!! Enjoy your hubby and thank him for us! DC may not be scary but you all still had to be apart!
 
Best news I've heard all day! You deserve some time together...being a military wife is about as tough as it gets :)

Oh and we were stationed in DC when my dad was in the AF--it's not Afghanistan, but it is DEFINITELY a scary place (so many politician jokes I could make here) ;)
 
HURRAY! What wonderful news! You won't sleep a wink tonight. Waiting for that reunion sure is a long wait....BUT OH so worth the wait! Enjoy your alone time!!!!!!!!!;)
 
Hey, my dh is in DC, too. :thumbdown:

He comes home on weekends, though. Am thankful for that :)
