Glee.. did anyone watch?

It was slow to get going, but the last half hour was FAB. cannot wait to see it in the fall. Loved it.
 
I watched it and I wasn't sure whether I like it at first but towards the end, I think it grew on me. Love the guy's voice... :D
 
I knew for sure I was not going to watch this 'singing show' but got sucked into it and enjoyed it a lot! I look forward to watching it this Fall also!
 
LOVED it! DH was in show choir in hs & he was sitting there like, "We sang that song! Yep, that one too" lol
 
I didn't watch...I'm interested, but would rather only watch if it's a family-friendly show (for Avery...she's going into 9th grade in the fall). Can anyone tell me? I don't mind some age appropriate, relevant, discussion starting topics, but I don't want socially acceptable promiscuity (I like my premarital/extramarital sex to have some serious consequences).
 
Well, Krystal. I totally agree with you! There was what you thought might start to be a scene, but then she's like, "Let's Pray!" lol b/c she's waiting til she's married. I thought that was hillarious! But, the first epi was definitely clean!
 
LOVED it! I thought it was good clean fun Krystal :) I remember thinking at one point, Katie would love this!
 
Definitely good, clean fun so far! I'd let JP watch this one (he's 9 for those not in the know, lol!).

Oh, the only thing that some (IMO) might find objectionable/questionable is when Rachel (the Gina Miller look-a-like) discusses her parentage. It's brief though, and if I'd blinked, I would have missed it.
 
Just finished watching it on the TiVo and I have to say, I really really liked it! Definitely one of the better pilots I've seen in awhile. I can't wait to see more. :thumbup:
 
Thanks for the feeback, girls! I'm excited that it's online to see. I'll have to do that for sure. Avery is in choir and speech (where she did the poetry reading competition). She plays piano, writes stories, and loves to draw (esp. anime). I just see her warming up to fine arts in a big way, and it would be awesome to have a program that we like to watch together.

Honestly, I don't see it. Someone else referenced it earlier, so I used it to help people place the character, lol!!
 
I thought it was really slow going , but it did pick up some...can't stand the wife..... loved the kids, also thought if the kids could put all that together themselves, what did they need the teacher for....LOL---I did love all the music....love Journey!!!!

Agreed.. and from the previews of the full season.. she doesn't get any nicer. :blink:
 
I didn't watch it, but the locals were sure unhappy with it. I live about 15 miles from the real Lima, Oh (yes, pronounced with a long I,lol). They barely made mention of the community and made more than a few mistakes, esp geographically. Akron is not down. It is UP and EAST,lol. Yes, I'm being picky. But if you're going to use a place specifically, at least try to get it right,lol.
 
I really liked it, and totally plan to watch the show...

But what did I miss???? Its not starting NOWWW??? Fall?? Really not till FALLL???? :glare:
 
I've watched it twice today... once by myself, and then I made my 9 year old watch it with me. I'm about to buy the song on iTunes, too....
 
I enjoyed it. It was a defiant pilot though. had lots of room to grow and get better. BUt I will be there watching it.
