Prayers and Positive Thoughts please

Last year I had a breast cancer scare. It ended up being nothing, but lots and lots of cancer runs in my family. Colon cancer, liver cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer...not good stuff.

Well...I went to my Dr yesterday and told her of some complaints I've been having and she is ordering a colonoscopy.

I'm kind of freaking out here! I've got all the symptoms that my dad had when he had it. And let me tell you...colon cancer...not good. Well no cancer is good...but what he went through...I shudder...

I havent gotten the referral or made the appointment yet, but I suppose I should start praying now.
 
oy, I've heard those aren't fun! I had one scheduled between my last two pregnancies but (shhh) skipped out on the appt because I chickened out!

I'm hoping it goes easy for you and that there is nothing to worry about!

defenitely saying a prayer for you. My BFF has had one or two of those and she said the worst part was the stuff you had to drink prior to the test. The test itself she was asleep for so it was a piece of cake. Hope yours is easy and there is nothing going on for you to worry over.
 
Oh Amy, I know how your feeling right now. Not fun. My family history has all kinds of cancer too so I'm nervous about what my biopsy results are going to show. I'll be praying hard for you. (((((HUGS)))))
 
Lots of hugs sweets! I had a colonoscopy a few years back. The procedure itself isn't too bad, but not being able to eat for a long time was hard. I hope everything turns out okay. I think it's good that your doc is taking precautionary measures. Please keep us updated. {{{HUGS}}}
 
I have been through two of these...not fun, but not that bad either. The very worst part is the prep. The actual test is a piece of cake. I hope it is just a scare, but better to check it out! I will say a prayer for you. (((HUGS)))
 
Its true the stuff u drink before is terrible...my brother goes through one every month currently for his crohns disease.....icky. Thats the part he says is by far the worst..keeping u in my prayers..((HUGS))
 
Amy you will be in my thoughts. My grandmother had colon cancer and you are right it's not pretty. I had to have a colonoscopy as well when I turned 40 and the worst part is definitely the drink part. Hugs!
