you can't go to the Dept of motor vehicles and get it? We can pay and get them in person here

Did you buy them online? I know if you keep the recipt you print online, its ok. Also, I know in my state they give you 2 weeks leway before they even pull you over. Not sure if its the same in yours.
Weird. We just walk into any insurance office, re-new, and get everything we need. No wait. No big deal.

I'll be hoping for the 2 week leway LOL.. I'm less concerned with the coppers in my state.. more concerned with the staties in Mass. They are stinky :p and I haven't done it at all yet LOL.. I just randomly remembered and pulled the letter of the fridge.. and then threw a temper tantrum hahaha

yeh it's tres gay we can't just go down to the dmv and do it anymore.. stankin people. Thx for the tip about printing out the receipt if I do it online btw.. I'll do it that way instead of using this form.. (still the same wait either way though lmao)

We can renew ours at the grocery store or online. But if it is expired you have to go to the county tax office to do it.

that stinks you can't walk in to renew. I just walk into the court house here and bingo I walk out with tags. I now immediately go and put them on my car as one time, I bough my new tags and then proceed to put them in my jocky box and totally forgot about them. Fast forward to sitting at a light waiting to go to Walley World with my kids and a local policeperson behind me. Light turns green.. I go.. his lights turn on, I pull over in the Walley parking lot and he asks for all the info, goes to his car, comes back and says.. umm you purchased your tabs on time, do you know where they are???
Then it dawns on me.. they're here in the car, I pull them out and show the police officer who laughs and says. Put them on right now before you go anywhere else and gets in his car and leaves. No ticket, no warning..but probably a good laugh and the ditzy lady driver for the officer! :) and a bonus my girls get to tell my hubby that I got pulled over!

We've started renewing ours through the Kansas online system and it only takes like 2-3 days tops to get our stickers, which is probably a good thing cause I always forget til the very last minute lol! Ours are due by the end of November which is always a bad time for us cause it's right before Christmas :cursing:

Here you can go to the DMV or renew online. As long as you have the receipt dated before the end of the month, the police give you two weeks from the end of the month to get the stickers on.

yea we renew in person, by mail or online here. Sorry you cant do it that way. Seems like they would want to give you as many options as possible to make sure they are renewed on time
our state claims to take 2 weeks for online renewals, but it was more like 5 days... good thing too since dh waited 'til the last freaking minute and they won't accept an online receipt in lieu of the actual registration. he would've driven without it though (and most likely been pulled over because that's just the kinda luck we have :p)

We get to renew online and then just keep the receipt for proof until the registration arrives. Oregon's cool with that (we're military so we keep DH's state of residence) plus it is only like $50 every two years!
