So, what's a good video editing program?

I have approximately 6 bazillion hours of video of our family over the past 20 years or so, and I need to finally do something with it so we can look at some of it!

Can anyone recommend good video editing software that I can use to view, edit and burn to DVD?

I love Adobe Premiere Elements!!! It's easy to use and creates pro-like videos. It isn't too expensive. I use 4.0 and got it pretty cheap on Amazon.com.

I would L-O-V-E to get my teenagers into this...although I don't know if I could talk them into it...but will be watching this thread with interest...we NEED to do something with all these unedited tapes!

Anybody else have any suggestions?
