Now I know y'all rushed in her to get the link but no, no ladies...I don't HAVE the video....I want to FIND the how-to video....I'll settle for a tutorial on getting hubby to do housework. Even a 12-step program....anything?

I'm at my wits end. That's obvious by now, don't ya think?

my husband used to not do anything in the house. A few years ago he jsut started doing a little more to help me and gradually he did more and more. The only thing I really ask him to do is wash the dishes though because I hate washing dishes. The water tears my hands up because we have well water and the soap makes me break out. He will also pick up stuff and sweep occasionally. Thats about it though

My husband cooks and cleans... I hit the jackpot! :) In return, he's "allowed" to go out with buddies once a week after work for happy hour as well as the occasional weekend outing. There are other fringe benefits but we'll leave it at that! (Maybe that's the "how to" part you need!) :)

Sorry no help here! My hubby does all the cooking and will help out gladly with the cleaning. No strings attached!!

There was no training needed. he came that way:thumbup:

I'm no help either--Andrew does the laundry and most of the cleaning. I do the cooking. It wasn't always that way though, I just got sick of hearing that I hadn't done something right, so I told him he could do it instead. He took over without a single complaint.

dennis does what i tell him too. lol he actually does do a lot of chores without me telling him too. laundry, bathrooms, general cleaning, mowing, cooking, etc. :D we share all household chores.

my secret: married him when he was barely 20 years old...i taught him young. ;)

LOL
Same way here, Lizzy! hehee
My hubby help me a lot too. He only doesn't cook.

In fact, I *proudly* boss him around, but, hey, just b/c he likes this way (Dr. Freud can explain this - LOL).
Psssst -> He does the IRONING, for Pete's sake. LOL
xo

It took me awhile, but I have mine trained now, just the way I like it LOL.

We split household stuff when he's off about 50/50. He does the kids' baths, and mops/sweeps even when he's working. Sometimes now, I'll take the sheets off the beds, and by the time I get down and put them in the laundry, he has fresh ones already on the beds! I detest mopping/sweeping with a passion, and with the house completely laminate, you can see my dilemma!

I always do all the laundry daily, bathrooms 2/3 times a week, and dusting. Those are my main chores.

I love my man, but it did take awhile to train him LOL. ♥

I wish I knew how to.... DH does all of the outside stuff and I do all of the inside stuff. Plus I care for the kiddos 95% of the time as well as do all of the shopping and pay the bills.

Yeah, it's not fair. But if I do ask him to do something 99% of the time he will do it without complaint. And he helps me deep clean the entire house a couple of times every year.

um, dh does like 99% of the cooking and cleaning. the only thing that's pretty much my job is laundry, but that's because i'm odd and don't mind doing it. he'll do that too if needed though. he also does the grocery shopping along with anything else i ask him to do. he does occasional yard work, but we hire that out for the most part.

he's also great with ds. like today, he woke up screaming @ like 4am. no clue why. i didn't hear it, but apparently dh had to go in and sleep in his bed with him (thankfully it's a full :D). they got up for the day @ 7:30, which is pretty early for ds. meanwhile, i slept 'til like 11:30. i'm pretty lucky. there was no training, he just came like this. :p

*ducks*

LOL!! he irons?!?! well?!?! :D:D:D

wow...so what you are all saying is that this is just going to take time?? ACK! He *used* to do all the cooking before he could work here (during the immigration process), but now...he's not doing that as much. At least he walks the dog.
