Jewelry question

Just a Scrapper
My wedding band is a bit tight. It's a solid band, about 1/4" wide. It's sturdy. Can it be 'stretched' without actually cutting it to make it bigger? I just want it a teensy weensy bit bigger so that it doesn't get too tight at that time of the month or when it's hot, but am afraid because these were custom rings we had made, and it's not like I can just go buy another one.

We had DH's ring stretched when we first got it because it was the wrong size, so you can, but it will make the bank thinnier, depending on how thick it is, you should be ok. Otherwise they can cut it and add to it.

Mine was stretched when I first got it, it did get thinner. Then when I lost weight, I had it made smaller. Its held up fine. It really depends on the band though. My dh's couldn't be made a different size and unfortunetly, it doesn't fit him now. His was braided though.

Thanks, guys. It's thick enough, so I'm sure that should be fine. I do worry about the celtic braid in it, but we're not talking 2 or 3 sizes too big..just some give room.

Of course, I could lose some weight and that would help, too! But it's been this way for awhile :p
