Waaaahhhhh... Life isn't fair!

We had to put our sweet birddog down today. He was 12. Had major swelling in his thyroid so he couldn't hardly eat. His lymphs were about 3 times their normal size - the vet said most likely cancer. I feel like my heart hast been ripped from my chest and I can't stop crying!!!!! We are heartbroken.... :(

Oh Kat...I feel for you. I just did the same thing on Aug 17, 2008. It's been 10 months and it feels like yesterday. Sucks, really. Our pets are simply family too. Hugs....
 
Oh, Kat, I am so sorry. :( He looks like such a sweetie. We're going through this right now with our old girl that just turned 12. She has cancer but had been doing unbelievably well up until about a week ago. Now she's starting to go downhill so fast and it's ripping my heart out.

Thanks girls!!! I just really needed some cyber hugs. I can't stop crying. Everytime I think about him or see his picture I just lose it! Feeding our other dog tonight was total torture!!! :(

I'm so sorry for what you are going through with your doggie Joan. :(

It's so heartbreaking!!!!
 
I'm so sorry for your loss. We've had to put to sleep 2 dogs for health reasons and it is the hardest thing to do :( Big hugs

I know too well the pain in making this decision...even when you know it's for the best. I'm so sorry!
 
Oh sweetie! I know exactly how you feel. We had to put our sweet little Emily down a month ago and she was only 6. It just rips a big hole in your heart. {{{{{HUGS}}}}} to you and the family.
 
(((((((HUGS))))))) So sorry about your loss. I know how hard it is. I had to do the same hard thing just last year and I still cry over it at times.
 
(((((Kat))))),my heart goes out to you. I've been there too many times and it is never easy, even when it is the right thing to do.
