I found this at another site
Check out their FAQ section for two links to download and install to save as .pfd.
Regarding the quality of the .pfd, I do think the program you use to save it with makes a difference. I was discussing this with someone else. I found their software to work well.
You can take that pfd and open it into pse and it will convert it for you at 300 ppi. Mine came in just as big if not bigger than 8.5 x 11 at 300 ppi.
So, don't use the snipping tool or screen saver. It doesn't work well. I tried it.
and then someone else wrote:
Thanks for the link, Hummie. This is a fun site. I didn't download the 2 programs the site mentioned and I had no problems saving my file. I just clicked on the "print" button on the site and instead of choosing my printer when the print dialog box came up, I chose "Adobe PDF" as my printer. You should have this option if you have Adobe Acrobat installed. Once I chose my 'printer' it created a pdf document for me. I then saved the pdf as a .png file, pulled it into Photoshop and removed the background and resaved as a .png. This may be a longer way of doing it, but I really didn't want to download 2 extra programs I didn't really need.
