The Melting Pot (eating place)

I haven't been to one, but we are going to be in Spokane for a meeting and we need to celebrate our wedding anniversary!

So if we go, what is good, what isn't, what is a must have!!

I need to be able to sell this to my hubby :)

We went on Friday night and it was amazing!

We had the spinach and artichoke cheese fondue, we did the big night out dinner, so we had all kinds of meat and the flaming turtle chocolate one.

I actually just posted about it on my blog if you want to read it.

I have been dying to go there. I've heard it's great but very pricey. The one near us is almost an hour away so I'm not rushing but I'd love to hear what you think.

It isn't cheap, it was $100 even without tip. Awesome service, we sat in a corner alone, there were walls around us and a wall in front, so it was very secluded. I loved it.

Funny! We are going next Saturday to celebrate our anniversary! We've never been either but are getting their big thing too. They have a web site with everything on it. Can't wait!

If you've never been, I think the Big Night Out is the best deal because you get to try a little of everything. Have fun! We haven't been in a while, but it's one of my fav places.

Oh we have gone so many times! Sometimes we used to just stop in for Dessert!!!! no matter what you do, you have to get the Cheese and the Chocolate! I say go with the full meal but yeah its going to cost you a pretty penny! Fondue Feast
Filet Mignon Florentine
Limoncello Balsamic Sirloin
Shrimp Diablo
Sun-dried Tomato Chicken
Orange Fennel Pork Tenderloin
Porcini and Portobello Sacchetti
Fresh Vegetables
$41.00 per person / $82.00 per couple
Mmmmmmm sounds so awesome!

Also if you drink the Ying and Yang martini!!! is to die for! And I always get the mushroom salad it my favorite!

My dh and I did the big full meal one too. It was very nice and we enjoyed ourselves, but there are SO many other places I'd rather eat at and a lot cheaper too...so once was enough for us. The food was good....but not worth the price at all. It was the experience though...and we did enjoy our evening!

Since we went for my birthday, DH called ahead and had them put a pink (my fave color) long-stemmed rose on the table. There was also a card signed by the waitstaff, and the manager came over to wish me a happy birthday. Maybe they do something similar for anniversaries? It won't hurt to check. :)

IMO, The Melting Pot is seriously overrated. We went once when we lived in FL. HATED IT. It was awful, from the service to the food. Corporate got a letter from me to which they responded with a gift card that we never used. Why go back somewhere that refuses to accommodate us in any way?

I've been twice and thought it was really great! We got the Big Night Out both times and loved it. If you can't swing the full meal, then the dessert is definitely a must-have!

I've never been to one but there is one in Pittsburgh. Hmmm, maybe that's an idea for a place for my hubby to take me on my birthday or our anniversary?

I think most people really love it, but I had negative experience... I got food poisoning. Really, really bad. I still can't even think about fondue without feeling ill. I guess I hadn't really thought it out, but I did not realize that the food was going to be raw. Just a heads-up on that on, in case you hadn't, either!

wow its expensive but sounds like a nice place to eat. I'll have to see if we have one here in missouri. It would be a great night out for us.
