Is ce supposed to be getting more teeth ... like now? I thought all that was left was the perm molars.. but I thought those came later? He's whining about his jaw hurting him- so I'm assuming it's a tooth.. I'm not about to stick my finger in there and feel around.. he's not a baby.. he will bite me lmao. I just thought 5 was too early? I am a bad mom and don't remember things like when teeth came (well actually it's cause it was a painless process and they just suddenly popped out :p ) .. I tried to look but his mouth is all squishy and he has a giant tongue :p He hasn't lost any teeth yet either.. but he didn't say anything was wiggly- just pointed to the back and said it hurt.

I *think* maybe they have 5 year molars? where the heck is libby? :D
they get another set of molars when they're like 6-ish. so it's possible.

Logan was just at the dentist last week and he is 6. In the last few months he has gotten his two lower 6-year-old molars. (They take a long time to come in) The dentist said they come in around the same time that kids lose their first teeth. So it's completely possible that ce is getting his 6-year-old molars! Logan never complained about it, but everyone is different. I know when my wisdom teeth were coming in that they h.u.r.t. like crazy, so I can't believe that kids don't complain more. LOL

From this Dental Hygienist: Yes, you get more teeth as you get older. 6, 12, and then wisdom teeth. They are only called 6 year molas and 12 year molars. That does NOT mean that will get them right at that age but Around that age. So yes it is possible that he is getting them. in at age 5. That being said. I have a 16 yo patient that still doesn't have her 12 year molars. So you never know?!

My 20yo just got his wisdom teeth extracted the beginning of this month...his weren't coming through...there wasn't any space for them...they were going to mess up his beautiful orthodontic work!
...and I only got 3 wisdom teeth...never had a 4th one!

My oldest is 5.5, and he got his 6 year old molars a few months ago. He complained a little about it hurting. I let him try one of the baby's hard plastic teething toys, and he said it helped, LOL.
