Who Do You Follow on Twitter?

I'm TRYING to get into twitter and understand the hype but I'm just not getting it. Who do you follow on twitter and why is it interesting?
 
I don't twitter but have finally really gotten into Facebook... I don't know how it's different from FB and they can work together, so I'm interested in hearing too...
 
I'm not crazy about Twitter. Like people post their statuses and you can comment, but it's not as easy to negotiate as FB. FB seems more social.

Plus, most people that have both post the same update to both, which drives me a bit crazy.

I'm sticking with FB.

That is so wrong, leila..so wrong. I was staying away after following Greg Grunberg for awhile (Heroes fame), but Brent?! Brent's on Twitter?! Dude..I'm there..and I blame you :)

It posts twice because their twitter is set to post to Facebook. So I post my status on Twitter and it copies to FB and my blog.
 
I mostly follow people whose blogs I read like Motherhood Uncensored, Her Bad Mother, Mommy Wants Vodka, Bossy & Fussypants. Plus about 50 more. It makes it sort of like a giant live chat. I nearly only follow people I am going to chat with so it makes it very social for me. Just reading people's updates doesn't interest me unless I know them fairly well.
 
Yeah...I didn't like twitter at first either...but it's growing on me...I follow some celebs, basically b/c I am a loser and want to see what they are posting, but I also follow some designers, ones that I want to see what they are up to...like Ali Edwards who I secretly stalk.:blink:

Oh I know. I was just saying that since I already see the update on FB, when I go check Twitter and read the same stuff it makes me :mellow:

I know what you mean. I don't do it all the time but sometimes it is easier.

I haven't started following celebrities because I know it would become another addiction for me.

LOL!! Anything I can do to help. ;)

So the thing I like about Twitter is that the people I follow tend to post more personal stuff. IOW--it's them, not some handler promoting them like a lot of the FB pages are. Rob Thomas & Chris Daughtry tweet back and forth a lot--they're freaking funny. John Mayer--he's just an odd duck, but I love reading his tweets.

I'm addicted to Twitter....
I follow LOTS of celebs but also all my designer idols and scrap peeps :D

Some of the ppl I follow are John Mayer, the View gals, Joel Madden, Nicole Richie, Joel McHale...I follow lots more but I won't bore you! hahaha
 
well...since Laura didn't mention it...she and I often banter back and forth on Twitter as well...and I am going to follow Daughtry now, LOL.

I must warn though, I tend to get annoying with the tweets sometimes...I think everyone wants to know everything I do! :P

Kim Kardishan, Paula Deen, Julianne Hough, Derek Hough, Shannon Elizabeth, Blake Shelton, Reba, Annie Duke, DeLana Harvick, Kirstie Alley, Soleil Moon Frye, Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, Dierks Bentley, Bakerella, Elizabeth Taylor, Maria Shriver, Neil Diamond, Sugarland, Christina Applegate, Courtney Cox... I could go on. LOL
 
I'm normally 10,000 years behind on everyone. I recently joined facebook because a certain someone talked me into it. LOL! And I'm sure, if twitter is all that great maybe in 9,000 years I will have it! ROFLMAO
 
Make your updates private by changing your settings and you won't get as many freaks following you. I had one guy try to follow me and he was following only girls with the name Christy...total freak.

I like Twitter better than Facebook simply because it's a lot simpler to deal. I don't care for all the games and plants and stuff on Facebook. :D

As for following, I mostly follow people who write blogs that I already read. It's fun to see what they have going on between major posts or what sort of stuff is going on that never makes it into their blogs. I don't follow any celebrities though.
