We had a great time even though we had a lot of wet weather. We got up there Sunday morning just in time for the park to open and we rode some rides, ate lunch, hit the water park, then rode more rides! It was a full day at Waldameer. We were exhausted by the end of the day. We ate dinner at Joe Roots Grill and I stuffed myself with a huge seafood platter! LOL! Then off to the hotel (Comfort Inn Presque Isle which turned out to be such a wonderful hotel that I would highly recommend to anyone going to stay in that area).
Monday we woke up and went swimming in the pool at the hotel for a while then we hit the beaches! Gosh, was it gorgeous there! I never knew we had such beautaciousness only a couple hours away from home! Oh, right before the beach we stopped at the store and bought the kids a little bucket set for the beach and we grabbed some drinks, chips and got subs from Subway and ate at the beach. We stayed there till we were all nice and sunburnt! LOL! Let's just say we are anxious for our next trip, it was so enjoyable. Then we went back to the hotel did a little more swimming at the hotel until dinner time.
Then Tuesday came. Did you say you went to the zoo on Tuesday??? Well, we woke up Tuesday to just a slight bit of rain when I looked out the window. We checked out of our last day at the hotel

and planned to do the zoo (even though it was a bit wet out) then head out to Brookville, PA to visit his mom's family. Well, we drove down the street and it was blocked for flooding, we went down another street - blocked for flooding, and again and again. Finally got out of that area and headed toward the zoo...well, they had the zoo blocked and we asked the guys and they said "The Zoo is flooded".

So, I was so bummed that we didn't get to see the zoo. So we stopped at a gas station to grab some drinks before we headed to Brookville. The gas station was crazy packed. I go in and get us drinks then wait in a long line to pay and as each customer gets to the checkout I kept hearing the people working there telling every person, "No, all the roads are blocked, you might as well park your car and take a nap because you can't get anywhere" I was like OH NO!!! Well, since we were LEAVING Erie it just so happened that the one very exit we needed (I think it was 90 West or something) was the ONLY thing not blocked so after going through a labyrinth of roads we finally found our way to that exit.
So then the rest of our time was spent in Brookville and we just got home last night.
