So Mad & Upset

My youngest sister and her husband are foster parents and at 3 a.m. this morning they received a call to take in a 5 month old baby boy....His so-called "Mother" blew a 2.0 when given a breathalyzer!!!! I'm sure that the only thing this little innocent baby did was to cry....This little baby has bruises all over his little body!!!! How can anyone be so cruel as to harm a baby or a child?!!!! I am not overly religious, but I do believe in "an eye for an eye"....He is so tiny that he still wears size 0 to 3 months and he came into foster care with just a few articles of clothing....This stuff makes me so mad and breaks my heart!!!! For the sake of this precious baby, I hope the parent(s) do not get this child back....

Today I am going to go clothes shopping for this precious little baby boy....

UPDATE: I just got home from spending time with my family celebrating the Fourth of July at my youngest sister's home....I was able to hold and to meet the precious little 5 month old baby boy who is currently in her and her husbands care....If you did not see the HORRIBLE bruising on both of his little arms and on either side of his cheeks, on his ears and neck, you would believe he was a happy baby boy....He was so full of smiles for us....He is very tiny for being 5 months old and is about the size of a 3 month old....Everyone all took turns holding him and loving on him....Thank God someone reported this--not sure who....

my heart is seriously aching for that baby boy. How absolutely horrible!! Some people should just not be allowed to reproduce.

Thank you Lauren....I love children, but I do not think that I could be a foster parent....It takes a special kind of person to be able to....Over the years I've lost count of how many children my sister and brother in law have taken in, but they have adopted 4 of those children--3 of which were sisters....Originally they became foster parents when they were told they could not have children of their own....Ironically, they did get pregnant right after they adopted their first 3 daughters....So now they are a happy family of 7....

I couldn't agree with you more....I truly believe that certain "so-called" people should be "fixed" so that they cannot bring any(more) children into the world....

Awe, that poor little boy :crying:... I hope he never has to go back to those people! Thank the dear Lord, there are people in this world like your sister! I wish I was a stronger person to be a foster parent, but I'm afraid that seeing how others treat their flesh and blood... I would get so upset I'd have a stroke! The same with animals... I can not stand to see anything living thing hurt...

I could never hurt another living thing either....It is so sad the total disregard people have for their own flesh and blood....

I'm so thankful he was removed...and I pray that he never has to go back. I honestly can't imagine and it's so sad.

Just reading this makes me sick.... so awful. :crying: I'm so glad the baby is safe now.

I agree that it takes a special person to foster... I really respect it b/c I am sure I couldn't do it.

Thank God that precious baby was removed from that horrible situation. It's so sad to think of what children have to endure, especially babies since they don't have a voice. :( I look at my sister struggling with infertility and it makes me sad that she can't have children but so many horrible, irresponsible children out there can. *sigh* I have nothing but respect for your sister and brother in law - what they're doing is a wonderful thing.

I can't believe people do this :( It's such a blessing there are people around who have the ability to foster these innocent human beings. These people have my deep respect.
And I trully hope he'll never have to return to the person who calls herself a mom....

My heart is breaking for that little boy!!! Some people are disgusting pieces of crap!!!! No child ever deserves to be treated that way!!!!! Thankfully he has people like your sister and her DH to take him in. (My uncle and aunt are foster parents too.) I hope that mother never gets him back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That poor little baby! I'm glad he's safe with your sister now. I hope he doesn't have to go back. And I agree that it takes a very special person to be a foster parent.

Just agreeing with everyone...I only think that maybe he has been rescued now and won't remember any of that horrible life, ya know? Thankfully, there are people like your sister!

oh my goodness! That is soooo heartbreaking! i seriously don't know what kind of person would do something like that to a baby!!!! It's insane and just soooo sad. :( I agree that I have a special place in my heart for all those that are foster parents. It's an amazing thing to do but I couldn't handle it.

:( so sad

I'm happy that your sister was there to take him. I can't imagine how someone could harm a child that way. I say those people aren't even in their mind to be able to do such violence on an innocent little baby. It makes me sick.

That is so sad :( I hate when I hear things like that about kids, but am so glad that there are people who are willing to foster and take these kids in to give them a good family and home. Good luck to your sister's family and hope this little boy gets to stay with them as long as they want.

As a mother its beyond my understanding. While I dont believe this behaviour is acceptable by any stretch of the imagination it makes me feel really sad for the babies parents - their life must be completely tragic to not be able to feel or cope with something so precious in any way, shape or form.
There must be a string of victims in this scenario the most fragile one is in your Sisters hands no doubt!
Glad your sister is able and willing to help with the care - hope he gets time to heal inside and out!!

How sad! I will be praying for this little boy and also for the mother to overcome whatever has caused her to be so careless with life.

Wow. That little man is so lucky to have your sister and her dh. I just read your post, so sorry to be behind on things. This makes me so mad. Poor little guy. Who beats up a baby?!?!?!?!!! I hope that the police and social services have things so well documented that he is kept safe and away from these people. ((hugs)), Sheila.

this tears me up inside!!!!! :( and yes, how lucky that your sister and bil are caring for him. *sigh* my heart hurts.

I just hope the parents just swallow their pride and let the little guy go... I'm so worried that they'll "clean up their act" for the court and get him back. That happens so often, just for them to go back to what they were doing before.

Poor little sugar. =(

there is a special place in hell for people like that and there are more than you realize I hear about it everyday at my job as a public defender.
