Has anyone upgraded from ACDsee 9 to 2009 version?

My stupid ACDsee has stopped working, I've done a couple of the troubleshooting things, but they didn't work and I can't find anything else on how to fix it.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? I deleted the files the site said to and I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Its frozen I guess, its like pending. Its happened once before but I was able to fix it.

I hate to spend money since we pretty much have no money right now.

Do you like the newer verison?

I'd be interested in know.. I lost mine when I had to redo my hard drive. The only way to get it again is to buy it again... which irks me. why can't I have the upgrade price when I purchased it already???? sorry tangent!

I don't have a fix for you, but when I got a new laptop, I could not for the life of me figure out how to get it reinstalled on my new computer. I tried everything I could think of and even posted here about it - without success.

So, I ended up buying the new version b/c I could not live without it. I did some searching on the internet and was able to figure out a way to get it for $24.99 using a coupon code. I will see if I can find that for you if your are interested. Since I couldn't live without it, I didn't think $25 was too much in my opinion.

I couldn't ever get on with ACDSee 9 it crashed constantly on here but the 2009 version is a lot better hope you get it fixed or manage to find a good deal on the newer version. Hugs Crystal xx

My ACDsee 10 crashes a lot and is SOOO slow, is 2009 an upgrade to version 10?

I have 10 and it works well for me, though it crashes a couple of times a day, nothing serious that I can't live with. It would be nice if it never did though! I wonder too if the 2009 version is better!

I have 9, and it crashes all of the time, but I have lived with it...it's also pretty slow, but whatevs...it always seems to freak out when I try to do a ton of stuff...

My quit on me also. Since I upgraded when I got Vista I couldn't reinstall it. So I go the Pro trial and have been using that. They sent me a coupon to upgrade to the trial for the same price as an upgrade to 2009. So I am going to buy the Pro version this time around.

I really don't see a difference in the Pro version for scrapping but it can edit RAW so I am going with it.

Thanks guys, I guess I'll be upgrading. It's just driving me crazy!!

glad to know so many people have problems with acdsee being slow or crashing! I thought I was the only one!
