Only a boy...

... would think it's a good idea to stick his hand between the moving and stationary parts of an automatic sliding door. *heart attack* His arm was wedged all the way in! Luckily he wasn't snagged on anything and has skinny girly arms, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to pull it back out. All is fine, nothing is broken or anything whacky. Though, I think this might be the beginning of a debilitating phobia for him. lol :D

It's times like these that make me want a stiff drink before noon.

Poor kid!!! Good thing he wasn't hurt!

Benjamin fell on an escalator when he was 5, borked his thumb, and ever since has a horrible phobia of them.

I used the phrase "What were you thinking?!" more than a couple of times on EACH of my 3 boys...with a response of "I wanted to see what it would do"...you'd give your mother a heart attack is what it would do! Jiminy Cricket...I hear ya!

hmmm any pictures? This might work for the journaling challenge "and then it happened"... lol

Seriously glad he is ok!

Not just one, but BOTH of my kids have done that with elevator doors, mooshing their little fingers while we frantically tried to grab them. Something about the human need to experiment I guess.

Whooa glad he's ok, but yes I can attest that only boys will experiment with that sorta stuff. My brother was the only one who ever thought of trying to stick a nail into a power socket when we were kids... or drink nail polish remover... or try to fit a comb in his mouth...

Surprisingly though, he didn't get any phobia on this. Now his son is doing all these things all over again and he's the one having the heart attack now. LOL

I call those brain farts! It is just one of many he'll have...I guarantee!! You will survive, but keep a bottle of vodka on hand just in case!
