I just finished going through all of my SSD papers and tagging them all - Sweet Shoppe Designs, "Designer's Name", "Kit Name". They're all JPEG files of course.

Is there ANY way for me to do this with the elements, PNG files??

I'm using VISTA.

Well how did you do it with the jpgs? Why can't you do it that way?

Vista will not allow you to tag png files at least not without an outside program like AC-DSee

Oh my goodness. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I'm glad you asked this question because I have figured out how to do it in Vista.

Open up the Windows Photo Gallery.
From the drop down menu choose File -- Add folder to Gallery.
Choose the folder you want and click OK.
You should now be able to tag the .pngs!

Ok. Once you move the files you want into Windows Photo Gallery you may not even need to tag many of your pngs. It seems that most of the designers have already named the items so well that Windows Photo Gallery can find the red tabs or your ribbons.

Of course you might want to add some additional tags for yourself. I just wanted to save you the trouble because I was starting to tag mine and then decided to stop and do a search after I had tagged one red tab. The search found all of my red tabs from my SSD folders.

Ok. Adding on to my last statement. Many of the pngs are probably already named in a way that Windows Photo Gallery can find it for you. But you will still need to tag many items.

For instance, I typed in ball. I got balloons from two kits and the ballerina from When I Grow Up. It did find a soccer ball from Just for Kicks but it didn't find any of the bowling balls from Bowlarama or the footballs from Grid Iron Glory.
