ACDSee question

I have ACDSee 10 and was wondering if there was a way to make a particular image the only thing I see on the folder?

Before I used ACDSee, I just used my regular folders in "My Documents" and I labeled the preview "folder" and when I looked at all my folders, they preview would be showing, making it easy for me to remember what the kit looked like. With ACDSee, I will still rename the preview "folder" but it doesn't show it... Say I open up my Zoe Pearn folder, I see all of her kits, but they have 4 images on each (usually the first 4 items inside), and I have to actually click it and go inside to remember what the main colors are.

I don't know but what I do is have a Lauren preview tag and I tag all La's previews so when I want to scrap with a La kit I can hit that tag and see all her previews. Then when I find the one I want I just right click and chose go to file. I also have them "tagged down" to if it's a boy kit, girl kit, summer kit, spring kit ect...... It was a bit of work tagging them all (I figured this way out after I had tag a bunch of stuff), but now it's easy peasy once I get a new La kit!!!)

Unless they made that a new feature of 10, you weren't able to before.

I use ACDSee 10 and was going to upgrade to 2009, but all the tagging I've done didn't transfer, so I'm sticking with 10. I agree, DigiScrapInfo will help immensely with your questions. Good luck and let us know what you find out!

Are you referring to making the preview show up on the folder thumbnail like this?



to get the preview at the "top" in ACDSee 10, I have to put a 1 at the front of the file name... in this case, the preview file name is no longer "folder" but "1zpearn-winterwishes-preview"... if contact sheets of alphas or word art or ellies or other things to jog by swiss cheese of a brain are to follow, the file names after the kit preview get renamed with 2(filename), 3(filename) and so on... HTH?

Kind of like that Nettie! I *just* figured that out the other day to put a 1 first in the folder name to get it to show up. But I would like to find out if I could make the preview be the only thing on the folder (and bigger) instead of the 4, kwim?
