Okay, so what happened to The Jumparounds?

I've been gone for a week... why are they called The Fresh Beat Band now? Anybody know? I'm just being nosy, I can't stand them anyway, lol. :p
 
My 4 year old *loves* them. They had a bunch of videos at nickjr as the jumparounds then they dissapeared and I just recently saw that they had changed their names to the fresh beat band or whatever.

I don't care what their name is, I just wish their show would hurry up and start because my 4 year old talks about them ALL DAY LONG. oy
 
Oh but to answer your question, I have no idea why they changed their name. I assume it has something to do with the feedback they received from focus groups.
 
I'd never heard of the Jumparounds, but I've been seeing these new commercials nonstop on Noggin. My only thought was that the redhaired girl used to be Stephanie on Days of Our Lives.
 
Oh, no wonder I had no clue, too, we watch PlayHouse Disney. Every once in a while we will watch a show before bed on Noggin, but I only know Yo Gabba Gabba which is horrid! :blink:
 
I didn't know what you were referring to because I have a 17-year-old...but I've heard friends with young ones mention the Noggins...I'm SO outta the loop!
 
yeah..I wondered about that today whe we were watching Noggin. I was like "Aren't these those jumparound people?" :D :D :D the boys much prefer noggin to disney so unfortunately that's what we watch if the tv is on during the day around here, lol
 
My son loves their songs! And I hate it when their commercials come on because their songs get stuck in my head all day after that!!! Ahhh!!!!

My son loves the guy in the yellow hoodie who raps- lol! He sings along with his rap-solos. It's so funny but I still hate the band! lol!
 
I can't tolerate the Disney Channel, so we're a Nick Family around here, lol. (I worked for Disney for 8 years... I'm all Disneyed out)
 
What's really bad is that my hubby and I had a 5 minute conversation about this at dinner 2 nights ago. We have possible theories as focus groups, copyright infringement of the name or I know there was some group on the Tori and Dean show where Liam turns 2 that came to his party and their name was The Jumpitz. They were a singing, dancing group in brightly colored clothing so maybe it was too similar.

Anyway...I still have no idea.

It's the Jumpitz thing. They threatened legal action unless the other group changed their name. I found it buried under a bunch of stuff on some obscure newspaper site.
