So a few months ago I posted some pictures of some finger puppets I have been working on - cute little critters and princesses and stuff. Well, because I got SO much positive feedback, and all you girls telling me to SELL them already, I finally got enough courage up to open a shop on Etsy. :)

Hmm...I have a girlfriend with a 14 month old.....would these be good her? I didn't send anything for her birthday, but I'll see them in a few weeks so I was going to give her something then.
 
Ok...so I teach preschoolers ans I want every single one of those for storytime! LOVE them! Next time I have some $, I'll be shoppng! Congrats!

Thanks girls!!! I was so scared no one would buy any and I'd be wasting my time, but I had THREE sales in my first 24 hours opening the shop! That was a week ago, by the way. And just like most of you, I'm doing this because I'm broke too. :) I haven't been able to buy lovely digi goodies in months! But now that all the money goes right into my paypal... heeheehee... :D
Does anyone else have an etsy shop I can drool over?
 
I keep saying I'm going to open one, but I never get around to it. I want to make upcycled books, altered stuff, card sets, etc. For now I'm swamped with wedding stuff, but maybe afterwards. We'll see.
 
That is awesome and they are really cute!! I opened a shop but havent added anything yet. I especially love the forest friends set. Soooo cute. If my kids were younger and I wasnt broke Id probably buy them LOL

Well its about time, lol!! Congrats on your store (and 4 sales already!!!). I knew they would just fly off your shelves!

Try to do a listing each day, or every 2 days. It will keep your puppets at the top and generate more sales.

those are awesome!! :wub: I will be looking forward to your robots and stuff coming soon! My sons are too old for finger puppets so I was thinking of attaching magnets and putting them on my fridge. Do you think that would work? How large are they?

OR you could just tell me you wanted magnets, and I could do a custom listing. :p I could do magnets for you of any size, or anything, just about. :thumbup: I have a bag of ridiculously strong magnets that are about one half-inch wide, the puppets in the shop are about 2 by 3 inches. I would have to experiment a little bit with that, but really really that's a fun idea!
 
Adorable stuff Lindy!! My girls are probably a little old for finger puppets, but I think they could be made into some adorable wall hanging items for kids rooms. Like in a small shadow box or frame with the background scenes and everything. I know my girls would love the mermaid trio for their room, or some pink princesses would be cute too since their bedding has hot pink princess crowns on it.

And everyone else, thanks for checking out my store! I still can't believe i did this, it's really quite unlike me! (Even more shocked that anyone bought something from me! I feel like I can be honest with you girls!!! LOL!)
 
Oh, congrats! I am planning to open a shop as soon as I get some inventory made up. I am gonna make Barbe furniture.

Just checked out your shop, I am pretty sure I am gonna order some for Christmas gifts. They are gorgeous!

For those who are *thinking* of starting an Etsy shop - go for it! I have only been there two weeks, and have had EIGHT sales! Such a fun experience to ship stuff all over, and to have some $$ to pay for new supplies. :) Even if I don't get another sale, this has been a really fun experience. :)
