Too close to home...

Mississippi lost two guardsmen this week in Afghanistan. DH just called to let me know..this time it was someone he knew. In fact they were in the same special forces unit he deployed with 2 years ago to Afghanistan. I just have this sick pit in my stomach b/c I keep thinking how lucky I am that DH came home and how relieved I am that since then he's been transferred to a different unit and didn't have to go this time, but at the same time my heart is just breaking for the wives and families of these 2 soldiers. I'm just sick with fear that he'll be sent overseas again.

It's always so sad to hear that news and I can only imagine how scared, nervous and sick you must feel about it all. It's so hard. Prayers being sent to the familes.

So terrifying! My heart goes out to the families...

That's really rough. We've lost a few people from our brigade too and it makes me incredibly sad to think about what those families are going through.
