Update on me

Well , i got a job. Never missed a payday. That sounds good and all but I am losing about $3000 a month income. Not sure how we are going to handle that yet. My husband is trying to pick up a little 2nd job himself and I guess we will be looking for a smaller house with less rent, etc. But I think we just might survive. Even though I'm not all the way there I do feel a little better about things than I did. I don't get to work form home anymore, so I will be a little more scarce during the daytime, but now I feel like my time off will really be MY TIME and I won't have work hanging over my head, like it tends to do when you are self employed. I actually think I will get MORE board time and scrapping time, once I get over this initial hunt. I would ask for you guys to keep praying though, because we rent this house from my best friend and if /when we have to move it's going to get ugly :( and I hate it but I don't know what else to do. They are already upset with us because we just mentioned we may have to move. We are going to try everything humanly possible first because I don't want to "stick it to them" and have them stuck paying two mortgages every month. So anyway, just wanted to touch base, say Hi and get back into my SSD life that I love so much! Have a friend coming over to scrap the day away tomorrow so that should be fun :) Thanks for all the positive thoughts and prayers guys ... you'll never know how much they are appreciated.

Yea!!! Congrats on the new job! And good luck with the house situation!!

Glad you were able to find a job that is always scary being without one. As for the house situation that really sucks. I would think that your friends would try and work with you as much as possible so they didn't have to pay 2 mortgages. I hope everything gets worked out. GL!

I so hope that everything works out Amy!! I am glad you found a new job! hopefully your friends will be understanding if you do have to move. That's such a tough situation! :(

Congrats on the new job! It is always scary starting something new. As for the housing situation, they certainly could rent it to someone else, couldn't they? Try not to feel obligated to them. You need to do what is best for your family too!

Hugs!

well we had some brainstorming ideas ...like when I was self employed, we had the very most you could have taken out of my husband's paycheck for taxes, to kind of offset the fact that none was taken out of my check. So he can change that and file 5 and 5, which will give us quite a bit more in his check. He was filing 0 and 0. And then we are paying $600+ month in insurance through his company and it will be way cheaper through mine, so we will change that too...I just need to come up with a few more ideas and I think maybe we will be okay here. I pray!
