quick question about actions....

I bought some actions here and there. When I paste them into PSE7 and then go to use them, there is no little picture that helps me remember which one is which. I just see a black box with the name under it. Did I miss something? How do you all keep your actions straight in your head?

Some of the action designers don't add the thumbnails to their downloads. I just create a "thumbnail" at 64x64 pixels, and save it as a .png. It goes right in the same folder as the .atn file. Then erase your database file and the thumbnail you created should be there. I've done this for many of my actions. I just use a black background with white text... I'd rather read what the action is than see a photo.

yep. Just be sure to name the .png with the exact same name as the .atn file...

Yea!! I did it!! But what I did was take a photo that I like and apply each action to it, then save it as the png file so I have an idea of what it will look like when I apply the action. I didn't have to remove any database files though. My thumbnails came right through. Thanks for the help!!
