Well the good news is that my placenta has moved, it's probably still lower then most peoples but the tech said there is plenty of room between it's edge and the cervix opening!!!

The bad news....this bean is very firmly planted in the frank breech position (head and limb up and butt down) :glare: What a little stink pot!!! There is still time for them to flip and I'm gone to research that today since I know that there are "exercises" you can do to encourage that!! I do know that you can have a version performed....but not sure if my OB does those.....I'll be sure to ask at my next appointment!!! So technically a c-section is not off the table!!!

But on the baby front he/she is growing good and everything looked good. He/she was estimated to be around 6lbs. That could be off either way up to a pound....but I expecting another 7 1/2 pounder!!!

Speaking from MY experience...the c-section was better than the natural...groan! My first one was breech...2nd one was breech and flipped pretty late in the pregnancy...but tried to do natural and it separated my pelvic bone!! ohhhhhhhhh never want that to happen again!! It was 3 months before I could drive (and then it was only for 4 blocks and back home again...on a pillow!) Next one was c-section immediately decided by both me and doctor!

Well at least it's mostly good news! Hopefully the lil one spins around so it's all good for delivery :)

Sending you loads of baby turning vibes. A friend of mine's daughter turned very late and it was pretty obvious when she did turn. She said it was a rather surreal experience to watch her manuever herself around!

Ella was breech right up until the day before my section was scheduled. When I went in for my u/s the day before she had flipped her little butt around. So I got sent home to wait for labor..which never came and I had the dang section anyway 5 days later b/c she was so big (9 lbs 6 oz)

I'd much rather have natural like I did with DS though...I HATED recovering from that section. Hope he/she flips for ya!! :)

Well at least you have good news about the placenta! Hopefully that little one wil Turn! Turn baby Turn!

My first was breech, too, and the U/S tech recommended doing handstands in a swimming pool! My mom has never laughed as hard as she did watching my 9-month preggo bod attempting to do handstands.... didn't work for me, but certainly can't hurt to try, huh? I also had a version that was unsuccessful... but she was REALLY jammed in there! Good luck!

I hope the baby turns for you!

However, I am one that would never attempt natural childbirth again after being in labor for 31 hours and then having an emergency C. C-Sections worked just fine for both of my boys and the recovery was not that bad for me - especially the 2nd one. :)

well YAY for mostly good news! I hope that the little bean turns for you!! I loved my natural birthing experiences...even with a baby over 9lbs I went med. free and it was an amazing experience. :) I so hope that whichever way you go it's as easy as possible and recovery is super fast! HUGS!

I had a MUCH better recovery from my C-section than I ever did from my natural delivery. Don't feel let down if it does end up being a C-section. I highly recommend it.

Ok, I know this is going to sound crazy, but a friend did this just days before she was going to have to have a c-section because her baby had been breech, and this little activity worked for her.

She got strapped onto to one of those boards that you can turn yourself upside down on to exercise - like an inversion board. And, her husband put ice on the top of her stomach and put music (like a lullaby or something you have been playing to your belly anyway) at the bottom of her stomach and stayed that way for 5 minutes or so and then watched in total amazement as her belly totally went all out of shape and the baby did a flip and turned and she was able to have her naturally a few days later. Evidently, due to the cold, the baby wanted to get away from that and could hear the music and went towards that. I believe this was something her midwife had suggested. On a side note, she did throw up after being put back upright, so if you do try it, just be aware. :)

I was actually going to suggest this same thing! Also, spinningbabies.com is the website about getting breech babes to flip. GL and I hope that baby turns for you!

I agree, my c-section was much easier than my v-birth. It was much harder for me to recover from my broken tailbone and horrendous episiotomy than it was from surgery.
