Confessions...

I'm a terrible Mommy -- my poor sweet baby girl has mosquito bites on her feet, even on the bottoms of them. She got them while we were at Claire's soccer practice yesterday evening. I didn't see them getting her, and we only stayed about 10 minutes since hubby came.

I feel terrible for - they look terrible. I have been putting Benadryl cream on them, but I'm sure they're still feeling miserable to her.

Alright, care to join me in confessing anything? Bad Mommy moments, guilty pleasures, we'll take them all!

I am a terrible wife. My husband was gone for NINE DAYS before I started mising him.
We still have 11 days to go and while I miss him, I'm not sure I would bring him home early yet.

But dang I'm not gonna let him leave the bedroom once he gets here.

Kresta...that's not that bad! It happens! But I do understand...

Ummm, let's see:

Occasionally my response to "he hit me!" might be "well hit him back!"

My rheumatologist mailed me a prescription last week for Vitamin D because my last blooodwork came back low....I still haven't gotten it filled

I don't answer the phone when David's mom calls and I never have.

I'd rather wait and eat dinner after everyone is in bed at night than to have to be interrupted 1,000 times and share bites with a baby who has already eaten his, and seconds, and his sister's.

my son used to get bit all the time no matter what I did and they would get rock hard on him. I felt the exact same way you do now. Hope she feels better soon.

awww poor baby :[ mosquitos are evil!

well.
there's a bug on the ceiling. ce pretends he's a cat a lot.. he kept arguing with me that he was going to catch the bug like the cat.. so after I a while I just said fine go ahead eat the bug. now he's scaling the walls trying to actually do so.

lol! That is so funny!

I told a friend tonight that I didn't feel well, so I didn't have to go out with her and I'm just sitting on the couch watching tv chatting on scrap forums!! :p

I love that you guys are posting these.

We have get togethers every Friday night with my 2 best girlfriends. Our kids are all around the same age. We normally just put the littlest ones (20 months and 16 months) on the deck and let them eat off there. They'd rather sit on the deck and play then sit at the table and eat, plus it gives us some chatting time.

Almost daily I pull the cushions off the couch so the girls can get some "jumping time" in and I can catch up on what I need to catch up on.

Madelyn has taken to biting Emma because Emma is constantly in her face. I don't yell at Madelyn because, well, I'm afraid I'd bite Emma too if she were in my face like that! :p

Aww poor thing! My kids are covered in bites. mosquitos LOVE my kids. They have sweet blood, I guess. :D

Mine is the same as Lena's, I would rather eat late or not at all, it's easier than sharing all the time.
my son is so overtired right at this moment that I just promised him whatever the last 5 things were he asked me for just so he would lay down. I have absolutely no clue what I have promised to do or buy him, but whatever.

eeeeeeek mosquitos...I hate the darn things.

My 7yo used to be allergic to mosquitos and if bitten the bites would swell up something fierce and look horrible so we would routinely slather her with insect repellant. I thought the ugly red rash she would get around this time was connected with the bites but nup...it turned out she was also allergic to insect repellant. So I had been making things heaps worse. I felt sooooooo bad.

Fee :)

On a fairly regular basis, we have cereal for dinner.

Without milk.

Straight from the box.

And occasionally the floor.

Speaking of which, I know it's not a "real" rule... but we generally abide by the 5-second rule (at home, in the kitchen/dining room). *shrug* No one's gotten ill or suddenly become horribly disfigured, so I figure it's a sound theory.

Oh, and adding onto Lena's "well hit them back"... in addition to that, I'll sometimes ask "did you deserve it?"... surprisingly, the answer is usually a guilty "Yeah..."

Mosquitos are NASTY little urchins... Faith gets mauled by them no matter how much repellant/clothing/lead armor we put on her :glare:

That is so me! My SO commutes with work, and he is only home at weekends, and when he has a week off and is home all week it drives me mad, he ruins all our routines;) (and interrupts my scrap time..) I'm happy he gets to come home at weekends though.

The other day I gave my kids crisps for dinner. I was so hungry coming home from work, I bought one of those ready cooked chickens, and had no patience for potatoes, so we had crisps;)

On the days we go swimming (non cholorine pool) the boys don't get a shower.

I don't make Lance's bed. He is a bed wetter so I just put a blanket over the plastic cover and a blanket over Lance.

I go in the playroom at night and throw away the junky toys. I just grab a few at a time so they don't notice.

I still haven't finished Lance's baby book and he is 4.

its SO nice to know i'm not the only slacker mom on occasion, lol

where do i start?

we eat cereal for dinner sometimes too.

i give in to my kids a lot when they whine about wanting candy at the store or something trivial at home. because i try to tell them no, but they are incredibly stubborn and will not quit. so a lot of times i give in. which is probably why they whine so much in the first place cause they know i usually cave. its very viscious cycle, lol.

Rather than fight with my toddler, I often let him eat whatever he wants. Which is usually done on the floor in the living room. He does eat some healthy food, but he usually gets chips once a day cause they are his favorite.
