my laptop is critically injured

Hmmm, this is Lena, posting from Tab's desktop. An hour ago my lappy was working and now I have the black screen of apathy. Apparently it can't even conjure up the energy to die.

The lappy is like 6 months old and I'm not convinced Parker didn't do something to it in the few minutes I was in the kitchen serving out supper.

Hrm, no idea what to do next but the two techies in my life (two friends' husbands) are talking back and forth about bart boot cd or usb, something about bad sectors in the hd or some boot.ini issue.

Yeah, I'm just gonna drink alcohol and go to the movies. If I'm not around for a bit you'll know why

I sort of don't even want to go to the movie now. We are supposed to leave in 20 minutes. *sigh*

Of course I hadn't backed up in 4 months but whatever , that's just my own stupid fault. Lost data or no lost data, my main concern is having a working machine.

My main concern is I'll lose my Lena Bena!
