Anyone have kids starting school tomorrow?

First day of school here in Tx is tomorrow. *Sigh* I've got a 4th grader and a 2nd grader headed out tomorrow morning. How does this happen so fast??? In the blink of an eye. We had "meet the teacher" Friday night and the kids were so excited. It's funny how much I look forward to seeing who the kids got as well as seeing which kids are in their class from previous years. Is anyone else like that? I don't remember my parents really caring what teachers I got or who was in my class.
 
my boys start 2nd grade tomorrow too! i'm excited for one of them and nauseously nervous for the other...... fingers crossed all goes well!

I have a senior who I really dont want to be starting 12th grade!! Im kinda sad about that...well really sad LOL. My other two are going into 10th and 6th grade. Nervous for my 6th grader because it takes him awhile to adjust to new routines. Also a little nervous for my son starting 10th grade because he is going to a brand new school and his sister wont be there because they wont have a graduating class the first year the school opens. She is staying at the high school she has been going to. So basically tomorrow is a big day for all of my kiddos!!
 
Our students go back on September 1st...WI state law says you can't start before the 1st. However, I'm a secretary at our middle school and I go back tomorrow! My summer vacation is over. I'm actually looking forward to going back. My staff are like family to me and I love being with the kids, so it's all good!!

My son starts his senior year on the 1st!
 
school starts tomorrow for us too. My middle DS hasn't really had a break since his preschool doesn't do summer break ... but my oldest will start First Grade tomorrow :) we met his teacher and saw his classroom this past Wednesday. He is VERY excited!!
 
good luck! our kids in WA state don't start until 10 Sept!!!! but I have a junior in high school and a 3rd grader! CAN'T BELIEVE IT! and in 3 years I will have 1 i college, 1 starting middle school , 1 in 1st grade and 1 kindergarten...boy does time fly!
 
My kids started 4 weeks ago...and I am still trying to get back into the swing of things. Before I know it, they will be out for their two-week fall break.
 
School starts here on Tuesday. Mine are starting 5th and Kindergarten. They have awesome teachers this year and I cannot be happier about the kids(and their parents) in their classes. I KNOW I am more excited than they are!
 
Mine started back last week. I was very interested to see who their new teachers were and which of their classmates were still in the same class.

My parents never thought about it but that would be because there was only one class for each grade K-8. You had the same classmates for 9 years. And the teachers were nuns. Some of the same nuns that had taught my mom. I find the idea of 5 classes of the same grade to be fascinating
 
We start on Wednesday here, I'm really not ready for summer to be over and not ready to have a 1st grader *sniff sniff*
 
We don't start until September 1st....so another week. Ben will be in Kindergarten and we have an orientation on Friday. My son is special needs and will be in an integrated class so I am really nervous and excited for him. Up until now, he has been in a preschool that was predominantly special needs with a few typical children. Now, he is going to be in a typical class room with just 3 special needs kids. I am so scared for him. He will have an aide, so that helps, but I just hope he makes friends and doesn't feel completely lost.

My daughter doesn't start preschool until September 8th. I wish it was sooner. She's excited to start school.

ds goes back to preschool on the 8th. he's soooo ready and has been asking about it every.single.day. i think his open house is on the 2nd.
 
Next Monday for my kiddos (31st). I'll have a 5th grader and an 8th grader.

I teach in the next door town and we start on the 8th of Sept.
 
We start back next Monday I have mixed feelings about it. I'm ready for the kids to go back because I think they have reached the point of total boredom. However I have a kindergardner (and a 3rd grader) and I'm so nervous for him to start!
