An easy one today: what color are your eyes?

And for extra bonus points -- do your kids have the same color eyes as you?

I have blue eyes (though I wear contacts and stare at a computer all the time so they're usually more red than blue!). My bio son has blue eyes; my DD has very dark brown eyes.

My eyes are hazel green..............

My DH has brown as do three of my boys and one of my sons has blue eyes.

I had blue eyes until my teens when they started to migrate back and forth blue-grey-green depending mostly on what I was wearing. They were pretty set on green by my early twenties.

Michael has blue eyes, and so do both of the kids.

I have hazel eyes, a mix of green and brown. All three of my boys take after their dad though and have the prettiest blue eyes.

Mine are hazel. My kids all have different colors - my oldest dd's are the same color as mine, my youngest dd has beautiful blue eyes and my ds has brown eyes. :) Dh's are green also. :)

I have Hazel eyes..more greenish than blue. DH has crystal clear blue eyes.

Oldest DS has beautiful hazel eyes and the two youngest have the prettiest blue eyes ever!!!

I have brown eyes....Darik has green/brown/hazel/grey eyes (depends on the day)...and the girls both have SUPER dark brown eyes.

I honestly don't know what you would call my eye color, so I voted other. They are kind of gray I guess around the outside and then there is a ring of gold around the pupil. My DH has brown eyes.

DD #1 has baby blue eyes.
DD #2 has hazel eyes
DS #1 has hazel eyes
DS #2 has baby blue eyes

So none of our kids have either of our eye color :D :D

Coincidentally DD #1 & DS #2 (the blue eyed kids) both have A+ blood. DD #2 & DS #1 (the hazel eyed kids) both have O+ blood ....weird!!! :D

I have brown eyes ... all four of my kids have brown eyes ... my husband has brown eyes.

Cody & Jenna's bio-dads both have blue eyes, so they didn't get their father's eyes.

my Mom has blue/green/grey eyes, my dad brown ... my brother got mom's eyes, I got dad's.

I have blue-grey eyes.

dh has beautiful baby blue eyes. All 3 girls seem to have bluish-grey eyes like me, though theirs are slightly bluer. I was hoping at least one would have dh's baby blues!

I chose other because some days my eyes are green and some days they are light brown.
DS has BRIGHT blue eyes, even brighter than Daddy's :)

I have hazel eyes. Inherited from my grandmother. Emma's are a lighter hazel than mine and Camden's are a tad darker.

Mine are hazel.

Wes' are brown like his Daddy, and so are Sadie's. Claire's are blue, but look they are starting to get more hazel as she gets older. We'll see.

I have blue eyes and so do my kids, but DS are a little lighter (kind of a cross between mine and my DH's) and DD has dark blue eyes

I have blue eyes most of the time but they change colors depending on what I wear. Sometimes they look more green and sometimes like a greyish blue. My husband has green eyes and 2 of my kids have blue and one has brown.

i've got grey eyes .... but depending on what i'm wearing they'll look blue or green ... DH has brown eyes (not too dark), DD#1 has dark brown eyes and DD #2 has grey or hazel .. she's only 6 months and they seem to change every day ! LOL - so i'm guessing they'll be hazel ...

I have greenish blue eyes. They change color depending on my mood I guess. LOL

My son and youngest daughter have blue eyes and my oldest daughter has brown eyes.

Gray-bluish gray... dh has green eyes... kiddo ended up with blue eyes like his grandpa.

My eyes change from day to day from very blue to more green to kind of grey... so it really depends on the day haha. Today they are pretty greyish. :) Lexi has her daddy's big brown eyes all the way!

My eyes are olive green w/ a bit of yellow/gold near the pupil. Do I have hazel eyes? We don't have this nomination here in Brazil. I went to Wikipedia to know that LOL
They change color: if it's sunny and bright they turn to a light green. I have light green eyes for summer LOL
My Grandpa had beautiful blue eyes and my DD has the same color. They tend to appear to change between the shades of blue, green and gray. Sometimes I could bet they're gray; then they change to blue. LOL
She has the same bit of yellow near the pupil that I have.
DH's eyes are dark brown.

xoxo

My eyes are technically brown, but they tend to 'match' my hair which is decidedly more red than brown, lol! Andrew's eyes are dark brown.

Devin has light brown, kind of ambery eyes, so he got a combination of our eye colors. JP has brown and grey. They're mostly brown, but each eye has a "pie slice" section that's silver/grey. His father's eyes were an icy blue.

As a kid, I had chocolate brown eyes and hated them. Then when I was 18, then turned a dull green color (still have a small brown starburst in them). Now I hate the green cause its so dull and wish they were still the pretty dark brown. My dh has honey brown eyes (I guess thats what happens when a Native with dark brown marries a Norwegian with light blue eyes...lol) and our ds has dark brown eyes.

I have green eyes, Gunner's are changing right now and are looking like mine :), Lydia has purple eyes (no joke!), and their daddy has hazel eyes. I do think that Lydia's will change to either hazel or green because there's a teeny bit of greenish coming thru already.

It's interesting to me that so many people's eyes change color as they get older - wonder why that is?

Also what IS hazel?

Technically:

Hazel eyes often appear to shift in color from a light brown to a dark golden-green. A number of studies using three-point scales have assigned hazel to be the medium-color between the lightest shade of blue and darkest shade of brown. Hazel mostly consists of Brown and Green. The dominant color in the eye can either be green or light brown/gold. This can sometimes produce a multicolored iris, i.e., an eye that is light brown near the pupil and charcoal or amber/dark green on the outer part of the iris (and vice versa) when observed in sunlight. Hazel is commonly found in Europe, the Middle East, Americas, Central Asia and parts of South Asia.

Definitions of the eye color hazel vary: it is sometimes considered to be synonymous with light-brown or gold. In North America, hazel is often used to describe eyes that appear to change color.
