Heading to K-orientation...

And I'm more nervous this time than I was when I went with my oldest! Gah!

My Nate is on the young side of 5 (July birthday) and we were really on the fence about sending him or keeping him back another year. But he's just so bored around the house, plus he's smart as a whip, so we decided to go ahead with Kindergarden. He tested well at registration and his preschool teachers really supported our decision, so I'm really hoping that it's going to be just fine!

I hope that today goes well... can't imagine how nervous I'm going to be on Monday to actually put him on the school bus!

ahhh...he will do just fine! I am dreading 3 years down the raod when its my turm to send our 1st to school...

I had to make a similar decision with my oldest when she started K. She's the youngest in her class but she has absolutely thrived! The fact that you have the preschool teacher's :thumbup: is a great indication that he's ready! Hope he loves it!

Good luck today! My 5-year-old's first day of kindergarten is today! She did well this morning, and I didn't cry, so I view it as a victory all the way around.

He sounds ready, so I'm sure he'll love it.
