Installing PSE6 Question

For awhile my laptop had been slowly dying so we finally got a new computer (YAY!) BUT when I tried to load my PSE6 there was an error message saying one of the files is corrupt and could not be downloaded! Has this ever happened to anyone?!? I've been trying to work with their customer service but everyone I've talked to is a moron :thumbdown:

I'm not very computer savvy. I have Vista but it was on the laptop too although the desktop is a 64 bit? I don't know if that makes a difference?

Can anyone help?

hmm.....I have no idea if the 64 bit is different or not. Maybe you need to make sure you get updates from Windows? I know like I had to get the 64bit version of itunes but I haven't seen much of anything else in 32 and 64 bit versions. I wish I could be more help!! I had a hard time getting like Firefox and stuff to work right on this new computer and after I installed all the updates Windows had for me it worked fine. Maybe that will work?

Hmm Crystal... I think I get updates but I guess I better figure that out for sure. The support people said they would send me a new copy of the software but I can't wait that long to scrap!!!! Thanks for your help

aww! I hope you can get something figured out! I so wish I could help more! And yeah...I wouldn't want to wait either..maybe you could use a trial while you wait for your new software? lol! That's what I would do
