Thanks girls! I'm about to head to the bed for some rest -- but I thought I'd pop in here and thank Lena for being so thoughtful and to all of you -- thank you so much.
2 weeks ago, after my niece's 9th birthday party, her father (hubby's sister's hubby) got in a car accident and has been in ICU since. He flatlined 4 times in the course of the 2 weeks. He had 3 surgeries (the last one being yesterday afternoon) and was diagnosed as being paralyzed (waist up, not perm, waist down, perm). He started getting infection after infection and they couldn't find where it was coming from. They put him in a paralydic coma 4 days ago because he was not resting and he was not healing.
Last night, my SIL called me to come sit with my nieces while she went to the hospital and he passed at around 12:30 a.m.
My SIL is beside herself wondering how she will tell the girls -- and how they will all function without him.
I really appreciate all your thoughts and prayers! My nieces are only 9 and 6 so my heart is just breaking for them.
To top all of that off, BIL's mother has been in a seperate hospital for the last month and she is not doing well. She doesn't even know at this point that her son was in a car accident, much less that he is now gone.
Please pray for my family and send positive thoughts. We are going to need it to get our girls through this!

I'm sure when she can, she'll pop in and give more info but in the meantime...can you just pray for Nikki's family and send all your positive thoughts her way? She said she may not be around for a few days.
