Epson Users...

I just bought an Epson Stylus NX110 printer last night (my Canon Pixma crapped out), and DH just got it all installed and ready to go.

I am wondering if any of you have had success with any store brand photo paper when printing with yours. At Future Shop (where I bought my printer), they had pretty much nothing for paper selection (I have to look at Staples, but they were closed), and the little bit they did have for Epson was outrageously priced.

I'm hoping to find a store brand paper that gives beautiful prints without the trial and error of buying 8 packs of paper (like I had to with my Canon - and after all that, I STILL had to buy Canon)... Thanks in advance!!

PS: If anyone uses a Canon printer and would like some Canon photo paper - I have a few packs (barely been used, a couple sheets out of each). I would be willing to trade for SSD GC's !

I've never used Epson paper with mine and it works excellent. I mean, don't go buy a crappy brand of photo paper because it will look horrible...but any of the main brands for photo paper will work, and for regular paper or cardstock, anything goes.

I don't have an Epson printer (I have a HP Photosmart) but I have used both the Staples Photo Supreme double-sided matte and Epson Premium Presentation Paper Matte and love them both. I would imagine either would be fine in your new printer. I've ordered from Staples.com (we don't have Staples stores here in my area) and directly from Epson online when they have their buy one get one free specials on paper and have gotten great deals that way.

I don't print often but when I do its on the staples brand!

I stock up whenever epson is having a sale online. I bought 4 packages of 100 of their premium presentation matte paper. I'm obsessed with it. I spent like $40 last year and I prob won't have to buy paper for at least 2 more years, lol! And I use it for ALL my hybrid projects. But, I'm also a little obsessed with cramming as much stuff as possible on each sheet that I print to get the most out of each piece.

I have an Epson 2200 and these are the papers I use most of the time. Plus Staples has some great sales on it (3.99 for a pack!) and I stock up then. Or I use Epson presentation matte paper too. I also ocassionally use the semi-gloss, but I'm not a gloss paper fan no matter the brand.

I have two epson printers too and use only epson papers with them. I just find the quality (after a year or two) is just better. Some that I tried are actually fading now after 2 years!:blink: I just find sales and stock up.

I only buy Epson paper for my Epson printer because it was formulated to go with the inks (read an independent review and that is what they recommend...use the paper formulated for your printer)....I watch for sales...office max has it frequently on sale for B1G1 free...

the advantage? Great quality prints and ARCHIVAL...they will last longer!
