So, let's say you bought some jeans...

...and they were like MADE for your body... fit PERFECTLY.... the coloring and distressing were perfect... they're the perfect length and everything... BUT the paint splatters were just a *little* too much and you wanted to maybe get rid of a few splotches. How would you do that?

:D

I'm wondering if maybe I could use some sand paper and sand them down a little... without weakening the denim. There are just too many paint splotches on the upper half and it almost looks polka dotted. lol

not sure you can. using sandpaper will cause holes but that is kinda trendy now too I guess. My duaghter has a couple pairs from various makers

oh those are really cute. I love Victoria Secrets clothes but I cant buy them cause I have a weird shaped body....small waist and big hips. I guess I would just leave them like they are. With some boots and a cute top I bet that the paint spaltters wont be so obvious

oooh those are SUPER cute! I just recently started buying "cute" clothes so I may have to go try on a pair of those.

Good luck with getting the paint toned down though!

The ones in the picture look ok, but if they had more than that, I probably wouldn't like it. Can you call them and have them send you another pair and then return these? Do they have another style in the same cut of jeans that doesn't have the splatters? Maybe a different wash?

I would think they could call it a "defect" and send you a new pair with no shipping charge, and can you take the other ones back to the store?

That's exactly what i was thinking. A lot of times on return packing slips, one of the options is "Item not as pictured" or something along those lines.

I just hate to have to make another exchange... because I bought jeans a few weeks ago (some trouser jeans) that ended up looking awful on me so I exchanged them for these. lol I have to pay $6 in shipping everytime, so I was hoping not to send them back (there's no store here).

So, do you need the splatters to be darker or lighter? Couldn't you work with a weak indigo dye (darker) or bleach solution (lighter)? Just apply it with a cotton swab or something that gives you some control and just barely apply it, wait for the full effect, and then apply a tad more if it's not enough (kind of like adding varnish or layers of mod podge).

I have those SAME jeans..except I got the lighter (says dark lol) with the abrasions...omg I LOVE them!! They fit so well and I normally don't like VS jeans..but my sister bought these (same pair as you) and loved them so I tried them lol

Where would one buy that kind of dye? :D

I know!! I love them!!!!! I might get another pair when a different wash goes on sale.... :o

For as much as they probably cost (esp being from VS) I'd be afraid of totally screwing them up by trying to dye over the spots, but that's just me lol. I'd just try washing them a couple of times and see if it lightens the splotches up any, alot of times things like that fade the more you wash them.

For one, those look awesome. I actually just bought a pair of Nautica jeans today that look really similar. I *heart* that outlet.

Two, I would try some dye. Just go easy on it, you can always add more later.
