Was in Detroit for 1 hour today and my car

got the passenger window busted out and my GPS was stolen.

What a wonderful place!

I'm never going to back there and it was my first time there. The kids were with us, it was raining. We had to drive the 50 miles back with no window. Real freakin' nice.

There are some really scary places in Detroit! I lived in Ann Arbor for 2 years while I went to graduate school, and I had to travel into Detroit during one semester to collect thesis data. My mom was a wreck that semester!

Yikes! That's just crazy...remind me not to go to Detroit anytime soon with my car.

oh geesh, that really really stinks. sorry that happened to you!

we're going to detroit sunday for a tiger's game. i always have an eye over my shoulder when walking down there!

Sorry that happened to you. People suck sometimes. I dont think it matters where you go though people steal in little towns or big cities. Will your insurance cover a replacement and to fix the window?

Wow. That is so scary! Makes me NEVER want to go to a big city. Leave me in the middle of nowhere, thank you very much. So sorry sweetie!

Wow that really sucks... I don't even like to fly through that hub!

omg, that sucks!!!! :(

i've only been to Detroit once and don't have any big desires to head back....

glad you're safe and sound!

xo

Ugh. People suck. That reminds me of a couple years ago when in the space of a month, an impaired driver hit and totalled our mini-van, and then a 2 weeks later, vandals threw a rock through the back window of our brand new mini-van that was sitting in our driveway - it really made me lose faith in human-kind there for a while.

Thanks girls.

Yeah, the insurance will cover it, but I have a $250 deductable, so I doubt it'll be more than that.

Oh yikes!! I haven't been there (yet) but my brother lives in Detroit and mom wants us to go there this month...ok I will HIDE my GPS! I haven't been real good about hiding it around here (Kansas City) but I guess I will from now on... I usually just place it down on the floor...but guess I will cover with a coat or something now.

That's awful!

You might be surprised at how much that window might cost to replace it...parts and labor I bet will be more than that...plus the GPS...plus if anything else got ruined or needs to be cleaned due to the weather & glass breakage.
