Moving...and dorky husbands

As most of you know, I'm in the process of moving. I'm finally at my new house (my furniture and my husband are not). We are on air mattresses and my phone wasn't connected on Friday like it should have been. But otherwise, we're good, I brought some pots, and my microwave, so we're eating, and doing ok LOL. The movers began packing today, so I should have my stuff on Wed.

I was upset on Thursday night, I had spent 10 years coaching figure skating at our town, it was really the only place the kids could remember or call home (we moved there when Benjamin was almost 4, Amelia wasn't even 2, and I was prego with Rae), so it was a sad night. I said to Tony, that I felt sad, leaving all of my friends and the girls I coached. Tony says "you're not leaving your friends, they are all in your computer, so you can just take them with you"

He's sweet, but yes, a dork LOL

Aww...that's sweet of him to say :) Still, you can be sad to leave the people you've known for 10 years! I felt that way when we moved and a lot of them I had only known since Kristen started school! So the kids handled it okay?

LOL, see, he does pick up on stuff. Hugs for you for leaving everything. Hope you mmake new friends quickly!

Benjamin was SO sad, he cried almost for an hour on the drive to the new place. Amelia was like she just came to the realization of it as well, and they were both crying so much. Rae started crying too, but it was just because the other two were LOL. I felt SO bad, I had nothing really I could say, and since I was driving, I wasn't even able to offer a hug until we got here. I was really sad too, and I don't think that helped. I tried not to cry, but a few times a few tears slid out, I felt so sad for them having to leave their friends.

They have been fighting a lot all weekend, and acting up when they don't usually, and I am blaming it on the changes. I got angry at them at the store, because they were so unruly. They just never act like that, but I'm trying to be compassionate. I put them in bed early tonight, so they will get a good rest for school tomorrow. They've already been at their new school for 3 days last week, so that really helps.

I hope the transition is easy into the new school, and they meet new friends quickly. I just hate that I'll have to do it to them again in another 4 years, kwim?

Hey now... I agree with Tony on this one... YOUR BESTEST FRIEND IN THE WHOLE WORLD is in the computer!!!

LOL funny how he thought of that!

I guess I will have to tell someone next time they ask me why I carry my laptop everywhere with me that I am bringing all my friends to bowling, robotics, and on vacation! lol
