Just imagine that title screamed in anguish!

I was so so happy to see an email from Dell in my inbox this morning..I popped it open hoping - oh so hoping to see a shipment confirmation on my new PC...imagine my dismay when I saw in bold letters..your shipment has been DELAYED and your new delivery date is set at Oct. 22. :thumbdown: :mad:

We ordered it nearly a month ago.

I'm just sayin.
 
UGH! So sorry Nikki! I had to wait at least 3 weeks for both of my laptops, the oldest one was a month!
 
Really a month ago!!!! That seems like a long time to wait for something from Dell! They usually get things shipped out right away! I would Call and tell them how disappointed you are yada yada and see if they can give you free shipping or free something for your wait!

Custom built Dells take FOREVER to receive. When my husband worked for them doing inside sales, he made sure to let his customers know that it could be 3-6 weeks before they'd receive their computer. If they insisted that they needed it sooner, he'd suggest a preconfigured model as they ship much sooner. He'd still field calls, daily!, about shipping times from people who'd only been waiting a few days.

That said, it's a serious PITA to have to wait that long. And then to get a notice of delay makes it even worse.
 
I will never order a Dell not after seeing them delay my daughter's pre-configured netbook for almost a month!! Granted my father-in-law got a great deal on her netbook and his laptop but still the shipping was way to long to wait.
 
Well, we've always had Dell's and they've always been good computers..my laptop is 5 years old and still runs perfectly..I just want an upgrade ya know? It is a long wait, but hopefully it'll be here in about 9 more days :)
