First person/Third person journaling for kids albums?

I think I'm going to start editing journaling for pages that will go both in our family album AND in Wesley's album - that way for his album, I can journaling "You had so much fun at the park..." instead of what I scrap for the family album, which would be something like "Wesley had so much fun at the park!"

Is this what you do? Or do you just leave the journaling the same for family/kids albums?

If it's a layout about my girls, my journaling is always to them. I don't change it for anyone else.

If the layout is about my kiddo, it's to him and that is written to him... if it's just a general layout about day in life, I like 1st person since I'm the person who is writing about our lives.

I just always journal like I'm talking to someone. But I just do big albums, not specific to the kids.

I do it both ways, depending on what I remember to do while I'm doing the journaling. Most of hte time, since we have one big family album, it's probably in third person. But I do write in first person directly to them, especially if it's more emotional journaling specifically from me to the subject as opposed to just telling a story of a happening.

I do it the same for family and individual albums because I don't want to change them all! so it's like I'm telling it to someone! (1st person right?? :))

I do both ways...just depends on the LO and I don't really go back and change anything :) too lazy:p

Both ways but I don't go back and change them. I figure, they can figure it out, and usually the first person ones are really more sentimental. But mostly I'm just lazy and have too many LOs to print/scrap to go back an edit them.

It depends on the layout. Usually I write in the 3rd person for them, but sometimes I do it in second or first person. It depends on how I am remembering it.

I'm a first-person gal. :) Journaling "sounds" more personal/conversational to me that way. I also like books written in the first person...maybe that makes me strange. LOL

Well, I already commented, but I was thinking.... okay actually, I'm really confused. do you all mean second person??? (not that it matters... hehe) Isn't it like this:

first person: i, we, etc
second person: you
third person: he, she, they, etc.

So really, I write in first person. I am writing about my kids, but from my perspective. I don't so "Mom thought kathryn....." I say I.

So do a lot of you say Mom/dad?
