Anyone seen it? Is it good? Would you recommend it for a 4 and 6 year old? (I noticed it is rated PG instead of G)........TIA!!

our whole family thought it was fantastic. My boys are 3 and 5 and there was nothing bad for them LOL. My 11,9 and 7 year old niece and nephews loved it too.

My husband and I took Rachel to see it yesterday (she'll be 4 in 2 weeks). We ALL enjoyed it. The last 15 minutes or so got a bit intense, and she thought it was a bit loud, but at this moment, she's asking to go see it again.
Thumbs up all around.

*it is VERY different from the book...but they did a great job w/the movie IMO

LOVED it, Cindy - and if you're willing to pay the extra - do the 3D version.

I honestly can't even remember WHY it's PG except for the fact that it gets just a tad scary when the food is coming down in torrents...people get scared and run from the island. It was totally worth it, even in non 3D which is the way we saw it! I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it and laughed. 4 and 6 is a great age.

I took my 4 year old and he loved it. I'm not sure why the PG rating, perhaps some suspense/action at the end, but I don't remember anything that made me worry about Jamin. There is one kiss, but it's really cute and sweet. Here they showed a preview of the Christmas Carol and Jamin got scared during the preview, but he is pretty easily frightened (he won't even get near scary displays in the store at Halloween), so it may not bother other kids.

I personally didn't like it nearly as much as Monsters vs Aliens or Up, but my daughter (8) liked it. And I thought I could have skipped the 3d on this one.

DH took the boys and they came back raving about it. I'm sad I missed it (I was sick) but it sounds like it was a super-cute movie!

We took the kids yesterday (4 and 5) and we loved it (well DH didn't but he's a Cartoon-Scrooge). There was one scene that caused me to laugh hysterically and lots more where I laughed loudly.
