Going to take some Fall shots of leaves - unique ideas?

DH and I are taking the pup for a hike today and I'm bringing the camera to get some Fall shots. Have you got any ideas for some unique shots? Any examples? One year I took a picture facing the sky so that I could get the blue sky through the orange leaves and it turned out really cool. Show me some examples of your unique Fall photos.

I like the "blanket" look. I took a few a couple of years ago but can't find them on my hard drive....

Oh that's cool...not too many leaves have fallen yet, but for next weekend I bet that would be perfect.

Not sure about neat photo taking but I have always wanted to do a set of seasons photos. I have taken the pictures but have yet to print them out and put them in frames and hang them up. And honestly I am not sure where I have the photos stored...Smug mug, my external hard drive my old laptop hard drive....just not sure. LOL
