Hi all.

It's been almost a year since I discovered this site and something over a year since I discovered the fun of scrapbooking in general, so I think it's high time I joined the community. :-)

My name is Adriana, and, as mentioned in my profile, I'm a Slovak who's been living in Luxembourg for the past five years. I'm a translator by profession and a creative person by birth. :-)

As far as computer graphics is concerned, I'm a huge Photoshop fan; I started to use the program back in 2003 and been enjoying myself ever since. Did blends, icons, banners, CD covers (for compilations I did myself), you name it. I also did webpages at one point of time, but that hobby is a matter of the past, though I still have a site running.

Finally, in summer 2008, I discovered digital scrapbooking. At first I only intented to use the technique for CD covers (I'm single and childless and this lovely art is so family-oriented by nature, isn't it?), but gradually I got hooked and ended up doing scraps for my friends, my friend's kids etc. Right now I'm an addict alright, and I hope this will last for some time, as my drive is packed with awesome stuff that just screams to be used in this way. :-)

Welcome to SSD! Do you have pictures of you growing up? Your family...relatives, friends, etc.? If so...you have a wealth of pictures to choose from...and YOU my dear have an advantage of discovering digiscrapping now before you get BEHIND like me!

I have 3 boys...20, 15, and 14....and I started (paper) scrapping when my oldest was 4...so I started out 4 years behind just on his life...then I added 2 more kids...and became even more behind because it is really hard to paper scrap with 2 toddlers running loose! lol Plus I hadn't even touched my life growing up! I did do 2 heritage books for my family history...but never even touched dh's heritage or even his growing up pictures... I'm just so far behind!

So.........consider yourself lucky that you aren't so far behind in that respect...and IF you ever NEED to scrap and find yourself without pictures...I accept (aka will send you my pics) donations of scrapped pages of my life or dh's life to help me get caught up! hee hee

Again...welcome!

P.S. I wish I had discovered digital scrapping all those years ago...I might have had a chance to get closer to being caught up!

What a welcome! Thanks to all you lovely ladies. Now I'm already feeling warm and cosy around here. ;-)

@Sharon Kay: Actually, I admire anyone who has kids and can get anything scrapped... Hats off to all of you; that must require a time management beyond my imagination -- that is, as yet! ;-))

I do welcome you, too, my God-Mother of scrapbooking :)

Adriana is my friend, we have known each other for almost 6 years now and she is THAT temptress who got me into scrapbooking too. My credit card suffers and aches, however, my passion is stronger :) :)

Alongside of many types of computer graphics I have been doing since 1998 I found scrapbooking as so sweet, wonderful and creative hobby (and mission)... what's more, I want to join the 365 project in 2010!

While we two are creating some scrapbook, we send each other the work in progress... Like this evening, too!

So, THANKS Adriana for everything!
