Not again!! The flu!

Luke was sick with a high fever (102-104) for five days... he finally got better about a week and a half ago.

The nurse calls me with an hour left of school... Luke is in her office with a fever of almost 102 again.:thumbdown:

I'm a little concerned this time because we had dinner with my grandma on Monday. And she was just admitted to the hospital with swine flu and swine flu pneumonia (which I'd never heard of!) yesterday.

Prayers would be much appreciated!

Sounds like you better get him in and tested IMMEDIATELY! ...and find out what is going on with him due to his exposure!!! Please let us know!:hugs:

I learned something interesting today about the flu...took DD in for her 5-yr old well checkup, and the whole family went so we could get our flu shots, LOL!

The doctor actually told us that the symptoms from H1N1 have been less severe than those of the seasonal flu that is going around. So we vaccinated for the seasonal flu today, will be going back next month for H1N1.

So as horrible as it sounds - if it is the flu, hopefully it's H1N1 and not the seasonal one!

Lastly - FYI - we asked if we really needed to vaccinate for both, and they encouraged it for the kids...they said that with both strains running around so rampantly, there's a chance for the viruses to mutate. So later this season they might be better protected if/when that happens.
