Seriously....where are my priorities?

Okay.....I am going insane here. I am the type of person that when I get interested in something I totally throw all of myself into it and totally loose track of everything else around me.

So, I have been into the digi scrap thing for awhile and the amount of time I spend at it is okay. I mean, I am alone all day since kids are all school age, the house stays very clean cuz everyone (for the most part) is self sufficient and picks up after themselves, etc.

My issue is that I NEVER accomplish what I set out to do with my scrapping projects because I can't stop checking the forums!!!!! :(

Like today, it is 3 pm my time. I wanted to have completed 3 layouts by now and be on my way to the gym. I haven't done ANY!

I don't know how to break myself of the habit of leaving all my windows open and going in and checking things out (and my email) every ten minutes. Then I spend like 20 minutes replying to stuff! It takes me twice as long to do a layout because I go back and forth!

Please tell me that I am not the only one who does this!!!!! :cursing:

((((HUGS))))) I have some advice why not do what you want accomplished before doing forums, I know for me once I'm on forums/facebook and such I tend to keep reading and stuff LOL I'm easily distracted. Or if you would rather you could always set a certain day out of the week where you stay off of everything all together and try to do all your layouts :)

Hey... at least your house is clean, that is more than I can say... LOL!!!

What she said!! :p

My house is falling down around me, I have a huge list of layouts that I want to scrap, as well as CT layouts that I need to do, and as usual, I'm sitting here hopping from forum to forum!

As I sit here at work, refreshing the new posts over and over and over... sorry, no advice. I'm 100% addicted....

hey, my only advice is to just turn your computer off...go to the gym FIRST and then come home and scrap at least 1 page before you log back on to the internet! Sometimes that is the only way I can get it done :)

oh i hear ya sistah!!! the only advice i have is to keep the 'net logged off!

i'm uberly easily distracted, so it was sorta a godsend when 'hello' went away... it was a HUGE time sucker for me! it's really hard finding balance sometimes!

I would say misery loves company but, clearly I am not miserable. I LOVE the friendships on the forum and the fun.

I think I need to just set day that I just refresh the forum...all.....day.....long.....and days that I just scrap and don't even open Firefox until I have completed my goals for that day. I just don't know that I can stay away for a whole day at a time.......

But yes, at least my house is clean. DH still thinks there is more I could do though......but, ehhh......what else is new with that? :p

I am sooooo NOT miserable here in this box with all of you as my friends.

LOL!!! My DH calls me the queen of clutter cleaning.... I can make the clutter disappear and the house presentable but if the deep cleaning needs to be done, count me out!

However, this weekend I will be washing all of the windows inside and cleaning off the ceiling fans. That's deep cleaning, right?

I'm the same way! Between this board, a private mommy board I belong to, and Facebook, it sucks up all my scrapping time! :p I look back at the afternoon and think, what did I do all day? I can be in front of the pc all afternoon and still not get a page scrapped. :p If I really need to get something done (CT lo's) I check everything one last time and then log out of FF completely until I get something done. :)

NeeNee - I am SOOOOO totally there with you!! I am even checking them at work! This is the only forum I can't get to from work, so I appear to be quiet over here anyway!!

You are so NOT alone!!

Me too! :) I turn off the Internet when I really want to get a page scrapped. That way even when I am tempted to open Firefox, I am NOT tempted enough to get up off my butt and turn the Internet back on.

same here and it's why it takes me hours to finish a page that I could probably do in just a few minutes, sigh...

Oh I actually envy you, Nee! I'm almost the complete opposite. I don't know... maybe I'm just shy? :p

No really, I do a refresh of my fave forums at least once while at work, but I don't know why I just don't click "Post Reply" even when I'm itching to reply to a thread. I'm trying to remedy this by participating in games in forums for my CT coz I really want to have more forum fun and form real friendships here :)
