Photogs, help me find examples...

I try to do a clever calendar cover every year. ie:





My idea this year is to do a picture in a picture kind of thing and I can't find any really good examples. Maybe I am searching for the wrong thing, I don't know. I've seen several on blogs, etc, and didn't bookmark them so now I am seeking your help. I think I want to have my boys holding a big black frame that I will put a white background in so I can then put another picture of them in that spot somehow displaying that it's for 2010.

And that is the other thing, what would be a cute thing for them to do for 2010? A picture of them holding their fingers to show 2010? Any other ideas? HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!

ETA: So I tried the whole frame in the frame thing and it just didn't look right so went with plan B, seems plan B is always my better plan...don't even know why that surprises me every time still after who knows how many years, so here is the grand reveal of my calendar cover for this year:

Love that idea!! You could do the same idea with the feet, but with the hands this time.

How about photographing the boys who are pretending to hold something in their hands and you photomontage the numbers 2010 in their hands? KWIM?:blink:

Holly McCaig has some cute senior photos where they hold a chalkboard with 2010 (or whatever year they'll be graduating on) and she also does one where she takes a photo of them on her iphone and then they hold the phone and she takes the photo so they are blurred in the background. I think something like that could be fun - there are some examples of both in this post:

calendar cover=DONE, see my 1st post. All that I have left is Oct & Nov and I am hoping those will be done by mid week next week!!!!!!!!
