Where are you getting your calendars printed?

I used Misty's toppers for my mom's calendar and got it printed at Shutterfly...it is SO nice! She's going to love it! I got it for $15.99 while it was on sale.

I print them at home that way I can make them the way I want...in the size I want...and bind them with my bind-it-all.

This is the 3rd year I have made calendars completely from scratch. I put holidays, family birthdays, and daylight savings on mine. (I print for both hubby and my families - as well as one for us... so usually 6-8 calendars) I do them in PS, scrapping each month's layout and the corresponding month grid. Then I save them as PSD files, and make PDFs in the order I want them printed ( and the cover as well)

I have printed them out at Kinkos double-sided color copies on heavy card stock with a clear cover, black coil binding and black vinyl back. Oh, I also have them bore a hole for hanging!

It costs around $20-ish dollars each, maybe a bit more. They do them in 24 hours, usually, and are good about printing out a proof at no charge. Then I take it home, and I can scrutinize them, and move anything that is too close to the edges and getting cropped out away from the margins. :cursing:

I imagine if I brought in my own cardstock, that it would bring it down a little... come to think of it... I DO have some cardstock I bought at Office Depot... hmmm! :p

I have mine printed at a local professional print shop. I have them printed on single-sided Kromekote paper (a thick cardstock that has a slight matte sheen to it).

6 calendars, 13 pages each (12 mos + cover), 11x17 page size, spiral bound = usually runs me around $14 each

Good luck!!
