Just a Scrapper
I know those of you on FB saw this (or maybe ignore me and never saw it lol), but today marked the end of an era for me. I just got rid of ALL of my paper scrapping supplies and bags and organizers, etc. At least with what didn't go to the boy's art box.

I don't like paper scrapping, but have been hanging onto this stuff for a year now, still packed away from the last retreat I went on, taking up prime visual space in my room. Today, I knew....it's over :P LOL

It's weird, in a way, but I know I love digital more than I ever loved paper, and I loathed the thought of digging that stuff out to do anything. I'll just do my last remaining paper layouts in digital and stuff into the back of the paper albums.

It's like a weight has been lifted from my artistic shoulders - not to mention to getting a big mess out of my room!
 
I wish I could do that! I have like 3 of those huge plastic totes of paper-scrap supplies stuffed away under my bed. It hasn't been touched in probably 2 years (besides on like 2 crafts I did with my son)
I'm such a packat, though! I keep saying, "what if I need it? What if my kids like it in the future?" blah blah blah! I can't stand the stuff everywhere, but I'd hate to get rid of it! lol!
 
I am so proud of you Darcy! I have such a hard time parting with anything! I have a ton of quilting stuff I want to put on ebay cuz I know I will never use the stuff and just can't bring myself to do it.
 
You go girl! :) I never paper scrapped, but seeing how mail ends up stacked around here, I can only imagine what paper scrapping would have done to me. Doesn't get rid of "stuff" feel good?
 
You go, girl!! I keep telling myself that I need my room full for hybrid... yeah, right. LOL!
 
It's funny to hear you say this (or, err.. read this). I still have my stuff - it's been over 3 years since I've touched paper! :blink:
 
LOL Jenn - and you were paper scrapping before me! The last time I touched mine was the Texas retreat 18 months ago, and that was only because I couldn't get my computer loaded to take it with me, so I dragged the bag out that had still been loaded since the retreat 8 months before that LOL. I think it's time to make it all go away.
 
oh my gosh, I TOTALLY need to do the same thing!! I have an entire craft room FULL of paper stuff. Punches, stamps, papers, cutters, glitter, ribbons, buttons, string (are you getting the point here??).

I would LOVE to do the same thing...I keep thinking - what could I do with "my" room if I got rid of my paper scrap stuff?? I'm picturing a little retreat, with a chaise lounge, a nice lamp, a fuzzy rug...a place to read maybe??

I'll probably be motivated to clean out my room as soon as I have time to read. :p LOL!!

I did that several months ago too. I rounded all of mine up, sorted off what my girls could use for art supplies, and hauled the rest of it to my friend who is a big paper scrapper. I love not seeing all that stuff under my bed every time I go to get something out from under there. :thumbup:
 
you go girl!!!! I LOVE my paper stuff, so I don't think I will ever give it up...plus I really enjoy the hands on, I think it is very theraputic...plus it gives me a reaosn to go scrap with my girlfriends...
 
Good for you!! I've weeded through a ton of my stuff and given a bunch to the girls but I still use quite a bit of it, although not for scrapping....I don't think I'll ever scrap a paper page again...ever LOL
 
You are a braver woman than I am! I keep having these delusions that I might want to do one of those Ali-style December Daily albums or...I don't know what. It's not like I don't have 6 ka-ZILLION other crafts that take up all my time. At least with digital, I can scrap at..{cough} work...if I ever would open PS ;)
 
Good for you Darcy. I've been doing this a bit at a time over the past year. I have a small pile started to donate again, but I'm having a hard time being ruthless. I have totally converted to digital. So why am I having such a hard time parting with the stuff? New goal for this week. Thanks.
 
You're braver than I am! Mine is packed away since our move and I probably should have just tossed it all ...
