I won one in a photo contest almost a year ago and I haven't taken it out of the box because I'm such a diehard Nikon girl, well, I decided to try it out and really like the camera but not crazy about the kit lens... would love recommendations for good lenses to save up for.

I'm tempted by the 50mm 1.4 but am afraid it won't live up to my Nikon and want to try something different.

If you don't like it, why don't you just keep using your Nikon adn sell the Sony...like to me, really cheap? ;-)

Tony won an Olympus DSLR in a contest once, and he sold it, never even opened it. He has a Canon XTi and didn't see the need to use the Olympus, since he'd have to buy all new lenses etc.

A good friend of mine has a Sony dSLR (the A100 I think) and she loves it. I've used it several times before I got my XTi 2.5yrs ago and it was super easy to use and that's what really got me wanting a dSLR of my own (I'm a die-hard Canon girl though)! As far as lenses I think she uses the kit lens and then has a 75-300mm zoom lens for it too. But if you already have a Nikon dSLR that you're happy with, then I'd probably sell it and get myself a new lens or something else on my photography wishlist :)

I agree with everyone. There's no real reason to have another dslr if you're happy with your Nikon. It's just more lenses and expenses that you can't put towards your Nikon. Sell it and put the proceeds towards another photography purchase.

well, that's the problem... nobody would buy it, lol. So, I decided to try it out and I really like it, so now I'm deciding whether to keep it and sell the Nikon which would be easier to sell and buy new lenses for the Sony or sell the Sony which won't get me enough to buy a new lens for the Nikon, sigh...

Well sounds like you might could find a customer either way here among the sweeties. But I call dibs. ; )
