EHD question

I have 2 - one is my primary and one is backup..I've been cleaning and stuff, backing up and purging and my question is...have you ever just deleted everything from your 2nd EHD and then recopied everything from your primary?...b/c there's a bunch of junk on my 2nd EHD and I've gone through the primary EHD and cleaned out and reorganized and I just think it would be easier to delete everything and make a new start on my backup EHD..does that make sense?? I know it will take a while but it would still be easier than going through everything folder by folder like I've done for the past 3 hours on my primary EHD.

You can definitely do it, but I would take the files and transfer in pieces, not copy/paste the whole thing at once.

I have never done it, EHD to EHD, but I have done it from my internal hard drive to my EHD.

I recently deleted almost everything from my EHD and recopied it from my HD to my EHD. The EHD had so many older kits and wasn't as well organized as the HD, so I wanted to update it. I'd realized that it would be a nightmare to reload everything from the EHD because it didn't reflect the many purges I've done.

I had everything backed up to Mozy, too, so I wasn't that worried about a crash while I copied.

I've done it. When you can, and you can clear the EHD out and get a new fresh start, I think it's a great thing. :)

I've done it. I reformat or clear my 2nd EHD every 6 months and then copy the stuff from my 1st EHD and my HD onto it in batches of a few files at a time. Otherwise I end up with a bunch of duplications and copies of things I had decided to get rid of and it all eats up space I could be using for stuff I want to keep
