8gb Ipod touch on sale at Walmart for $195 with a $50 Itunes gift card. Do I brave Black Friday on Walmart or hope for a decent deal at some other time? Amazon's got it right now for $188.
 
Personally, I'd order it from Amazon. It wouldn't be worth the free $38 in iTunes for me to brave Walmart on Black Friday this year. I've been the last two years and it was total insanity. I purposefully got all my shopping done before Thanksgiving this year so we wouldn't be tempted.
 
I have only seen black Friday Walmart crowds on the news... usually because some kid or employee was crushed to death under teh crowd surging to get into it. Unless you are willing to line up at the door 12 hours before opening and risking serious injury only to find that they only had 10 in stock and have people clubbing you and ripping your hair out for the one in your hand - I would order from Amazon, lol!!!
 
Walmart should be TONS better this year.. they're g oing to be open all night, so there won't be the rush at the doors, you can find a store map online so you know where to go lineup for your ipod, and then you can line up at that spot and someone will hand you the stuff at 5 am. So, I would do it. :)

Walmart is going to be open all night to TRY to prevent the crowds and outdoor lines this year. Sale prices don't start until 5am, but people can line up at the particular item's spot and the employees are going to hand the product out. (they have maps of the stores on their site! lol!) Let's see how that goes! I'd hate to be working there on BF!!!

Wal-marts here have been open on Thanksgiving for YEARS...so no throng of people rushing to get in. What you will find are long lines at the pallets of the good sales. You might want to check and see if it's available online as well...DH already ordered the GPS he wanted at the sale price.
