What do you do with your Ornaments after Christmas?

How do you pack them up for the year?

I've been leaving the ones I have in boxes in them, but its such a pain to take them out and put them back every year. And I wrap with rest with bubble wrap. What do you do?

I've never lived anywhere for more than 3 years in my adult life, so a part of me always keeps them ready to move.

I keep mine in an ornament box I got several years ago. It has divided compartments and the top tray lifts out so you can access the second layer. The breakable ones I wrap in tissue and the others I just drop in. It works pretty well. It's a Bob's Box by Lang but I tried to do a search and didn't find them so I'm thinking they may not make them anymore.

yea, i have rubbermaid ornament boxes with the dividers too. I wrap precious ones but those boxes work pretty well.

We purchased one of those Christmas bins that has the corrugated inserts, not really a tray, where we put a lot of ours in. Then we have two little tins where we pack the really fragile smaller pieces with bubble wrap or tissue. The Hallmark type Star Wars/Trek/etc stay in their boxes in another bin because we 'have' to keep those boxes  lol.

Mine are always ready to move too, V. I have a few boxes within the bigger Rubbermaid boxes. I don't pack many individually, it's too much of a PITA, but they are always securely stored.

LOL! I'm amazed with how many times we've moved, I haven't had any broken (7 times in 12 years)! Mine are wrapped in tissue paper/original boxes and then put in shoe boxes which are then places in the rubbermaid clear containers with all the other Christmas decor. Maybe someday we'll get to put them all in nice boxes and be all organized, but for now...prepare to move at any time!

we have moved alot also..I have some ornament storage boxes and
the ones the kiddos have made from school/church are wrapped in
tissue paper and packed tightly in regular old shoe boxes.

I've got the ornament box with the corregated inserts. I think mine is 3 layers deep. Half my ornaments are wooden ones that my mom painted 35 years ago & they all lay flat in a shoe box.

i just bought some new ones so i'm keeping the boxes. then i put the garland in a seperate plastic bag. then i put everything in a plastic storage box.

I wrap all of the fragile ones in tissue paper and keep them all squished tightly in a box together. Some of them (the Hallmark ones) we keep in their original boxes, seems like everyone here does! lol! We've never had an ornament break the way I pack them *knock on wood*!

I have a set of Waterford that get packed back into their box. Special ones from my childhood and such either go back in their little box, or wrapped in paper towles.

The rest? I literally just have a big rubbermaid bin with them all tossed in, all loose. LOL! They're all just red and gold ones of various shapes and sizes that I've collected over the past 4 yers or so (and naturally, now that I have 849302849032 of them, I want to use different colors - I resisted the urge though, Jordan's head would explode).

I keep most of mine in their original packaging, packed into large rubbermaid totes. I have three Christmas totes ... one for my wreaths and mini tree, one for stockings and angels and such, and one just for decorations. lol

I bought some of those ornament boxes this year, I don't know if I'll be able to give my hallmark boxes or not. LOL!
