Pretty Easy Gingerbread House Kit

If anyone is looking for a pretty easy gingerbread house kit I found this at Target. It was pretty easy to put together and came with everything including a bunch of little candies for decorating. (I did make up a little extra icing and colored some sugar because they were having so much fun with landscaping and decorating). This kit has 5 houses. Target also had a clear bucket of cookies with mini wreath, star and tree sugar cookies that also worked well for decorating. Hope this helps someone.

Here is a finished one from my December Daily album.

Glad to hear it's pretty easy! I picked up the train version @ Target last weekend, and we're planning to work on it this weekend.

We do a gingerbread house every year although ours never looks quite right :) we may have to try out the village though...

I just got a gingerbread tree kit... I thought it looked easier for a 3 year old than a house... good to know it was easy though, maybe next year.

The one we got this year is premade kids just have to decorate it.. gingerbread houses and me do not get along so this was the only way I could save my sanity :)

that is very cute. I'm like Kristin though. I now get the ones that are already assembled. Royal icing is not my friend.

Cool... I was thinking of doing this year, but was fearful to try with all the baking and such. This, I think I could handle...

So what do you do with them after they are done and photos taken? Do you keep them until Christmas? Eat them? Take a baseball bat to them? oh wait... that is usually how my baking ends up... :glare:

we did the same one and although L.J.'s attention span didn't last through all the houses, I had fun finishing it up :)
we actually threw away some of the icing and candies
